Logistec Acquires Gulf Stream Marine

Logistec Corporation announced  the expansion of its network of terminals through the strategic acquisition of Gulf Stream Marine. This transaction will allow Logistec to establish a stronghold in the U.S. Gulf, strengthen its position in a high-growth market in the United States, provide access to an experienced talent pool, facilitate knowledge transfer between the two organizations, and generate immediate positive benefits to shareholders. This acquisition also represents a major expansion of our network of terminals in the USA. With Gulf Stream Marine's 10 terminals in 5 ports, Logistec's cargo handling activities now cover 58 terminals in 35 ports in North America.

LNG Finalizes Acquisition of Bear Head LNG Project

Liquefied Natural Gas Limited today informed having finalised the acquisition of 100% of Bear Head LNG Corporation (BHLC). This follows the announcement to the ASX by LNGL on 28 July 2014 regarding the signing of an agreement to acquire BHLC from a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (Anadarko) for US$11.0 million, and the satisfaction of standard closing conditions and consents. This acquisition of BHLC is in line with LNGLā€™s strategy of acquiring sites in North America where the Company can replicate its Magnolia LNG Project and fastā€track development by using its existing LNGL development team and its OSMR® technology. * A 255ā€acre site comprising industrialā€zoned land (180 acres) and deepā€water acreage (75 acres) as well as foundations in place for two 180ā€¦

LNG to Acquire Bear Head LNG Project in Canada for US$11 mi

Liquefied Natural Gas Limited today announced that it has significantly expanded its presence in the North American Liquefied NaturalGas (LNG) sector by signing an agreement to acquire 100% of Bear Head LNG Corporation (BHLC)from a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (Anadarko) for US$11.0 million. A 255-acre site comprising industrial-zoned land (180 acres) and deep-water acreage (75 acres) as well as foundations in place for two 180,000 cubic meter LNG tanks. The land has been cleared, a majority of site works completed and roads constructed. The Project Rights of the previously proposed LNG import terminal, including all assets, rights and obligations associated with the Bear Head project.

Statoil Quadruples LNG Capacity

Agreements concluded with America's Dominion energy company have secured Statoil a fourfold increase in its access to liquefied natural gas capacity in the US market. This will be achieved by expanding the Cove Point LNG terminal in Maryland and associated pipeline transportation capacity on the American east coast. "These agreements give us unique market access to the north-eastern USA, where gas demand is high and the market robust and liquid," says Peter Mellbye, executive vice president for Natural Gas in Statoil. The deals give Statoil access to terminal, storage and pipeline transportation totalling about 10 billion cubic metres of gas per year (1.05 billion cubic feet per day).
