OSI to Provide Bridge Management Systems for German Navy Frigates

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) announced it has been selected by Damen Naval to provide a navigation suite to the Federal German Navy’s F126 program. Canadian Navy Upgrading Its Navigation Systems

The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) has initiated a plan to upgrade navigation system hardware on a range of surface vessels and submarines.The supplier OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) said it has signed a deal with RCN to design, build, test, certify and deliver MIL-SPEC navigation system hardware upgrades to replace legacy systems that were originally provided by the company, some dating back to 2001. OSI will also provide spares and training support.The fleetwide upgrade includes 44 surface ship and five submarine systems.

New Zealand Navy Extends OSI Support Contract

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) announced that it has signed a contract to provide in-service-support for the Integrated Navigation and Bridge Systems (INTS) that the company has delivered and installed across the Royal New Zealand Navy fleet. Under the terms of this contract, OSI will act as the design authority, and provide software and hardware upgrades, engineering support and training services. OSI to Integrate Software for UK Royal Navy

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) announced the signing of a contract to integrate its flagship software, ECPINS-W Sub, into the U.K. Royal Navy’s T45 Destroyer Integrated Bridge System (IBS). Under the terms of this contract, OSI will provide software engineering activity to fully integrate ECPINS into the existing IBS system architecture. OSI supplies the Royal Navy with its advanced NATO WECDIS STANAG 4564 certified ECPINS-W Sub software across all operational ships, submarines, shore headquarters, and training establishments.

OSI to Upgrade Canadian Navy Software

OSI Maritime Systems announced that it has signed a contract to provide in-service-support for its ECPINS-W Sub software - ECPINS is the only ECDIS independently certified against NATO WECDIS STANAG 4564. The software is in service across the Royal Canadian Navy surface and subsurface fleet. Under the terms of this contract, OSI will provide an upgrade to its most advanced ECPINS-W Sub software and provide in-service support for this software for six years, with options to extend for up to 20 years.

OSI, Boustead Contracted for Royal Malaysian Navy LCS

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) is announced the signing of a Letter of Award with Boustead Naval Shipyard (BNS), Malaysia. Under the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program, BNS will build six Gowind-class corvettes for the Royal Malaysian Navy. OSI to Supply Newbuild Indonesia Submarine Equipment

OSI Maritime Systems contracted to deliver integrated navigation systems to DSME for Indonesian Navy Type 209 SSK Program submarines. OSI's contract is with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), South Korea who will build three Type 209 diesel submarines (SSK) for the Indonesian Navy. Under the terms of the agreement, OSI will deliver three Integrating Navigation and Tactical Systems, including ECPINS-W Sub software which the manufacturers say is the most advanced navigation software in the world specifically designed for the unique requirements of subsurface navigation. Hatteland Agreement with Offshore Systems

Hatteland Display announced it has entered into a Long Term Cooperation Agreement with Offshore Systems, Ltd., of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Under the terms of this contract, Hatteland Display will supply products from its broad portfolio of type-approved, commercial maritime and military-qualified displays for integration into Offshore Systems' ECPINS Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS, WECDIS) for navigation and situational awareness, and Common Operational Picture (COP) products that focus on the global situational awareness market in C3I applications. OSI Geospatial Signs Coast Guard Contract

OSI Geospatial Inc. announced that its U.S. Systems Operations has signed a contract valued at approximately U.S. $1m with the United States Coast Guard (USCG). Under the terms of the contract, the company will provide a hardware upgrade to the ECPINS Navigation Systems installed on the USCG Buoy Tender Fleet. The work is estimated to be completed in the next three months.

OSI Secures Navy Deal

Offshore Systems Ltd. has secured a contract to upgrade the Royal New Zealand Navy’s (RNZN) Project Protector Fleet to ECPINS W vessel-wide. In 2003-2004, Offshore Systems was awarded a contract through a competitive bid process to deploy ECPINS M across the RNZN’s entire fleet, as well as throughout the Navy’s training facilities. A deciding factor in awarding this contract was ECPINS M’s high level of compliance with the North Atlantic Treat Organization (NATO) Warship Electronic Chart Display Information System (WECDIS) standard. “By upgrading to ECPINS W, the RNZN Project Protector Fleet is now fully compliant with the NATO WECDIS STANAG,” says Jim Davison, Director of Sales, Offshore Systems.

ECPINS Nav Systems for Brazilian Subs

Offshore Systems Ltd said its sister company, CHI Systems, OSI Geospatial’s US Operations, signed a $925,000 contract with Lockheed Martin’s Undersea Systems business unit to supply the Brazilian Navy with 6 ECPINS submarine navigations systems. These systems will be integrated into Lockheed Martin’s Submarine Integrated Combat Systems (ICS) that will be delivered to the Brazilian Navy.

Offshore Systems Signs Contract with Royal Danish Navy

Canadian Navy Orders Systems from Offshore Systems International

Offshore Systems Awarded New Geomatics Contracts

Offshore Systems International Ltd. (OSI) announced that its nautical charting and land-mapping division, OSI Geomatics, has received new orders worth more than CDN$1,500,000. The group of orders span the end of the company's third quarter and the beginning of the fourth quarter. "Our data production division continues to make excellent progress," said John Jacobson, OSI's President and CEO, "and we're pleased with its growing contribution to OSI's overall business. Our navigation systems business has a number of major quotes outstanding for ECPINS products to both commercial and military customers. OSI Wins Royal Navy Deal

Offshore Systems International Ltd. said that its Navigation Systems unit has been selected for a major fleet-wide contract with the Royal Navy. OSI, as part of a successful teaming arrangement with Lockheed Martin UK and Kelvin Hughes Ltd., will begin to deliver ECPINS-M software to the Royal Navy fleet in mid-2004. The initial purchases total approximately CDN $3 million. The total contract value, including long term support and options for auxiliary systems and software development is approximately CDN $17.5 million. OSI Gets Australian Navy Contract

OSI Validation Vastly Expands Markets

Offshore Systems International Ltd. - a leader in electronic charts and positioning systems for the maritime industry -- announced that Offshore's Electronic Chart Precise Integrated Navigation System (ECPINS) has been validated by the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) of the U.S. Department of Defense for "proper and complete" display of NIMA Digital Nautical Chart (DNC) in Vector Product Format (VPF). DNC is the official electronic chart used by the U.S. Navy. Earlier this year, NIMA completed digitization of the worldwide DNC coverage required by the United States Navy for military use. The Canadian Department of National Defense (DND) requires the capability to operate with DNC charts, and initiated the development and test program with Offshore.
