Crowley Promotes Fortunato to VP, Government Business Development

Crowley Maritime Corporation has promoted Ed Fortunato to vice president, Government Business Development, with marketing, sales and budgetary responsibility for the company's government services sector. In his new position, he remains domiciled in the Washington, D.C. area. He continues his activities with senior government agency councils and committees. Since joining Crowley in 1997 as Director of Government Services, Fortunato has been instrumental in managing government contracts. Prior to joining Crowley, Fortunato worked for the Logistics Management Institute providing transportation/logistics advice and analytical support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He also taught graduate level transportation and logistics at the National Defense University.

Crowley Names Brickman VP

Crowley Maritime Corporation announced that Jay Brickman has been named vice president of government services. In this role, he will manage the marketing, sales, and customer relations for the company's government services business across all service lines. Brickman will continue to be domiciled in the company's Miami, Fla., office and report to John Hourihan, senior vice president and general manager, Latin America services. Ed Fortunato will continue to serve as vice president of government business development in Washington, DC and will report to Brickman. In addition to his new role, Brickman will continue to serve as vice president of the company's Cuba liner service.
