Ivy Marine Obtains SUB M Certification

Helm Operations assisted Ivy Marine, LLC obtain its SUB M TSMS Certification. Ivy Marine, LLC, a two-towboat company out of Mobile, AL is now the third and smallest company in the United States to obtain their TSMS Certificate. Helm CONNECT Secures ClassNK Type Approval

Canadian maritime software company, Helm Operations, a ClassNK subsidiary, sai dit has earned Class Type Approval for its planned maintenance software, Helm CONNECT. On September 1, 2017 after a detailed review process, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK), issued a Type Approval Certificate for Helm CONNNECT as a recognized planned maintenance software system. ClassNK is a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS). IACS members recognize and accept Type Approvals from other society members, thereby allowing any ship owner to implement the Helm CONNECT software as their planned maintenance tracking system. “This is a historic moment for our organization. Canada's Helm Operations Acquired by ClassNK

ClassNK has announced the acquisition of Victoria, Canada-based maritime software company Helm Operations. The deal was hailed by both parties as two world-class companies joining forces to improve safety and operational efficiency in the marine industry, while greatly enhancing the success and capabilities of both organizations. Tokyo-based ClassNK is one of the world’s largest classification societies, providing safety and certification services for more than 8,600 ships, representing about 20% of the global merchant fleet. Bordelon Chooses Helm Operations Software

Edoc Systems Group, developers of Helm Marine Operations Software (Helm), confirmed that Offshore Supply Vessel provider, Bordelon Marine, has chosen Helm HSQE Manager and Helm Onboard to manage their vessel maintenance, safety and compliance. Helm Onboard will be installed on all Bordelon vessels, but the first installation will be on their new Stingray series 260’ class DP2 OSV, which is slated for sea trials in May 2013. Helm, which is approaching its 15th anniversary, will provide a digitized layer of efficiency to Bordelon’s already exceptional safety record. The software provides a central system for Bordelon to manage their inspections and audits as well as any deficiencies, non-conformities, or observations that may arise.

Svitzer Chooses Edoc and Helm Marine Operations Software

Edoc Systems Group, developers of Helm Marine Operations Software (Helm), said that global towage provider, Svitzer A/S has chosen Helm Dispatch Manager and Helm Onboard to manage their dispatch and billing functions on shore as well as onboard their vessels. Svitzer is a member of the Maersk Group, with a diverse fleet of more than 500 vessels that operates in over 40 countries around the world. SCF Liquids Chooses Helm Marine Ops Software

Edoc has confirmed  that SCF Liquids (SCF) has chosen Helm Marine Operations software (Helm) to run itsoperations. SCF Liquids is part of Seacor Holdings Inc.'s Inland River Services business segment and a sister company to SCF Marine Inc. O’Connell Joins Edoc as Regional Sales Manager

Edoc’s Helm Software Reports New Customers

Edoc welcomed new customers McAllister Towing and Transportation, Seaspan International and Florida Marine Transporters in 2010. McAllister Towing Turns to HELM

McAllister Towing is moving from its legacy operations system to HELM, a maritime operations software system developed by Edoc Systems Group Ltd. HELM’s operations module will allow McAllister to streamline their dispatching and invoicing processes in their largest port: New York. Afterward HELM will be rolled out across McAllister’s remaining 11 ports along the U.S. East Coast and the Caribbean over the course of 2010. Edoc Systems Remains Healthy in Sour Economy

For Victoria marine enterprise software developers Edoc Systems Group, the past years economic storm has been more about riding calm winds and following seas. They are expanding and hiring while others in the software industry have been retrenching and shedding staff. Edoc moved into their current location in the heritage Hartwig Court two years ago and have already outgrown the current space. On the strength of new business, they are in the last stages of hiring additional software developers to join the team of 18 Victoria and Vancouver based existing staff. In the past month, they have hired a new marketing and communications coordinator, and are in the process of renovating additional space, taking over an adjacent 600 sq ft store-front.

EDOC Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Edoc Systems Group Ltd., a software company for the marine and forestry industries, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. “We see this as a great chance to thank our customers first and foremost. The original three customers that helped get this company going in the beginning are still with us today – we truly appreciate the loyalty and we’re looking forward to partnering with them for another 10 years,” said Ron deBruyne, President of Edoc. TugAssist Releases New Version

Edoc Systems Group Ltd., the makers of TugAssist Marine Dispatching Software and a leader in industrial software, has released version 6.0 of TugAssist and renamed it to HELM: Marine Operations Software. The software will be making its debut at the Pacific Marine Expo and International Workboat Show this year. In response to market demand, HELM has many new features that go beyond what TugAssist offered. From one centralized server, HELM can manage any sized water-based fleet with newly integrated modules such as job scheduling (for tugs, barges, OSVs, water taxis and more), crewing/payroll, maintenance, invoicing, reporting, GPS/AIS vessel tracking, web portals, and ship-to-shore data transfer.
