Washington State Ferries Contract for G4S Technology

G4S Technology LLC wins Washington State Department of Transportation, Ferries Division contract to upgrade security systems. G4S Technology LLC (formerly Adesta), a systems integrator and project management company for electronic security systems and communication networks, has been awarded a $3.8M contract from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Ferries Division to provide security system upgrades. They will install new Milestone XProtect® Corporate Video Management Software (VMS).

Secure Waters CEO Speaks on Anti-Piracy

Corey Ranslem, Chief Executive Officer of Secure Waters LLC, was invited to speak on the innovative approaches required to protect ships from the dangerous and growing trend of piracy in international waters. The international conference, Trends in Passenger Transportation Security: How Prepared are We for More Attacks?, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9 in San Francisco, Calif. “Security companies worldwide are rushing to the Gulf of Aden, off the coast of Somalia, to put armed teams on cargo vessels. This approach is very costly, may put ships’ crews and special operations personnel unnecessarily at risk, and does not always mitigate attacks,” commented Corey D. Ranslem, chief executive officer of Secure Waters LLC, a North Miami Beach-based maritime security company.

Adesta to Expand River Operations Security for the Jefferson County

Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems, has been awarded a $958,000 contract to install a waterside video surveillance system for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department along the Sabine/Neches Rivers. The system will effectively manage and monitor surveillance video at strategic locations along the waterway between Beaumont and Port Arthur, Texas. Adesta will engineer, install, test and turn up a fully integrated wireless video surveillance network. The project includes a network of cameras from remote locations along the Rivers, with video management from the United States Coast Guard Vessel Tracking Station and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

Adesta Awarded $2.2m Contract

Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems was awarded a $2.2 million contract from the Alabama State Port Authority to enhance security at the Port of Mobile. Adesta will design, build and install a video analytics-based intrusion detection system for the Port’s McDuffie Coal Terminal, one of the largest coal terminals in the country. The expected completion date for the project is December 2006. The system will protect against intrusion or invasion and restrict personnel to designated areas. The security measures include video analytics for intrusion detection and monitoring vessel traffic and a wireless communications link to the Port Police building…
