Ellicott Takes On Rohr-Idreco Line in Latin America

Ellicott Dredges LLC & Rohr-Idreco Dredge Systems, which are owned by Ellicott Dredge Enterprises, LLC, has  announced that Ellicott's Latin American Sales Manager, Andres Borasino, will be adding the Rohr-Idreco deep digging dredge product lines to his area of responsibilities. The three product lines complement each other by offering customers multiple dredging options based on the their material and digging depth requirements. Andres has been with Ellicott for over four years successfully expanding the brand throughout Latin America.

In a ceremony at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation’s (OPIC) President and Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth L. Littlefield presented Ellicott Dredge Enterprises, LLC and its Ellicott Dredges LLC entity with OPIC’s inaugural “Impact Award” for Ellicott’s work in Iraq. Two Management Changes at Ellicott Dredge

Ellicott Dredge Enterprises announced two personnel changes to its senior management team. Gert de Vries has joined as Senior Director of Engineering, in which capacity he will be supporting the engineering departments of all of Ellicott's brands, principally Ellicott and Rohr-Idreco. He will also be mentoring the company’s engineering teams. Additionally, Rob Schettle has been promoted to General Manager at Ellicott's subsidiary Liquid Waste Technology. He will now be responsible for running Ellicott’s plant in New Richmond, Wisconsin.

Ellicott Dredge Enterprises, LLC of Baltimore, Md. USA has acquired selected assets of Rohr Corporation (USA), including its current backlog, and all associated intellectual property, as well as the shares of Rohr Bagger GMBH, based in Mannheim, Germany. Through a newly formed subsidiary, Rohr International Dredge Co., LLC, Rohr will operate as an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary of Ellicott. Ellicott Dredges Receives Four Awards

Ellicott Dredges, LLC-a unit of Ellicott Dredge Enterprises, LLC-and its management have recently received multiple awards from international and national organizations for its technical innovations, leadership in the dredging industry, organizational growth, and community contributions. Ernst & Young, one of the "Big Four" accounting firms, has announced that Ellicott Dredges' President Peter Bowe is the recipient of its 2009 "Entrepreneur of the Year" award for Maryland in the manufacturing category. An independent panel of seven judges selected Bowe from the nominee pool.

Ellicot Dredges’ New Plant in Wisconsin

In 2008 Ellicott Dredge Enterprises and its product units Ellicott Dredges, Mud Cat, IMS dredges, and Liquid Waste Technology (LWT) sold close to 100 dredges in over 20 countries. The company introduced new dredge products with more underway. The company's new plant in Wisconsin near Minneapolis is in full production. Egypt: Sale via a Bechtel affiliate of two LWT remote-controlled dredges to maintain power plant intake cooling water access channels at two power plants, Nubaria and El Tebbin. The Nubaria sale is itself a follow-on order.
