The latest 4.0 Reference cards for the Type Specific Manufacturers are now available to download. The eMaritime Group have published a three minute video explaining how these non-profit procedure cards work at the above link. Managing Director Mark Broster from ECDIS, which is part of the eMaritime Group, stated,"We appreciate the significant effort and help received from hundreds of shipping companies, manufacturers and OEMs that have supported their production. They are designed to help keep ships stay safe and prepare for 2018 S52 4.0 ECDIS audits and inspections."

eMaritime group have written a new five-day Simulator Operators Training Course (SOTC) and will launch it with a free one-off session from June 19-23, 2017 at eMaritime Group HQ, Whiteley, Hampshire. The SOTC course has been written to give those who wish to teach on a maritime simulator the necessary skills, teaching techniques and aids within a standard bridge simulator environment. The course is generic to simulator training in general and so can be applied to any make or model of simulator.

MISC Berhad has chosen eMaritime Group's ACAT online courses as its ECDIS type specific continuous personal development training solution. Every year maritime government officials from across the world travel to Malmo, Sweden, to enrol at the World Maritime University (WMU). The WMU was founded by the International eMaritime Organization (IMO) in 1983 and holds a unique position as the only institution focused entirely on maritime education, research and capacity building. One thing has been missing from the curriculum, however, and through a donation and partnership with Maersk Line, courses on corruption awareness and business integrity will now be mandatory for all students. Announcing the partnership today also marks the United Nations International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December. Inlecom and DANAOS announced that their e-Maritime compatible collaboration platforms enabling interoperability in shipping software solutions are now available commercially as beta versions, following successful trials with eMAR partners including DNV and Port of Valencia. The platforms have been developed as a result of the EU-funded eMAR project which supports DG MOVE with a specific focus on the EU e-Maritime initiative facilitating Information Exchange for efficient, safe and environmentally friendly maritime operations.

The EU announces funding for a project to implement a common interoperable Information and Communications Technology (ICT) platform for the maritime logistic chain in Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Germany and Portugal. The project will receive almost €8 million in co-financing from the TEN-T budget until December 2013 and will contribute to the development of TEN-T Priority Project 21 “Motorways of the Sea”. The objective of the project, which was selected under the 2010 TEN-T Multi-Annual Call, is to design and develop an interoperable ICT platform (the “MIELE Middleware”) able to interface maritime ICT systems (i.e. port community systems and other eMaritime applications) in Italy, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus and Germany (the “National Vertical Pilots”).
