Seacat's New Offshore Wind Support Vessel Sporting Yacht Racing Tech

Offshore vessel designer Chartwell Marine on Wednesday announced the launch of its "market-first" offshore energy support vessel (OESV) with hydrofoils, in partnership with marine design & engineering consultancy, BAR Technologies (BAR Tech). Interferry to Unveil Approach on Alternative Fuels

A ferry operator’s experience of ‘the fastest ship in the world’ will feature among the cutting-edge initiatives being aired at Interferry’s 38th annual conference in Malta from October 5-9. The trade association event gives South American operator Buquebus a first opportunity to showcase the commercial and technical benefits of its revolutionary newbuild Francisco. Delivered in August from Australian builder Incat Tasmania, the catamaran is the world’s first high speed dual fuel ro-ro to use LNG as its primary fuel. Incat made the “fastest ship” claim after sea trials in June.

Test Platform for Steam Generation Technology

Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), today announced that on May 25, 2012, the Molecular Impact Energy (MIE) steam generation system produced continuous steam without a conventional boiler apparatus. The MIE system was also successfully attached to a conventional double acting two-cylinder steam engine. Developing the test platform to prove the relative energy efficiency of the Molecular Impact Energy (MIE) invention and the eventual integration for the entire marine industry for which Brownie's has exclusive rights, is a key near-term goal of the Company. Robert Carmichael, Brownie's CEO stated, "The test results in this first phase are extremely encouraging.
