Norwegian owner and operator of offshore service vessels Golden Energy Offshore is deploying Inmarsat’s Fleet LTE service to meet the growing data requirements of modern offshore operations and support sustainability.Headquartered in Ålesund, Norway, Golden Energy Offshore owns and operates a fleet of offshore support vessels providing offshore services to the oil, gas, and renewables industries. The company is a long-term Inmarsat customer and also a longstanding user of the satellite communications specialist’s VSAT services.

Rolls-Royce Battery System for Two Offshore Vessels

Rolls-Royce Commercial Marine said it has received an order to deliver a battery-powered energy system for two offshore vessels (PSVs) operated by Norway-based Golden Energy Offshore.The delivery includes the SAVe Energy system, which was launched by Rolls-Royce earlier this month. In addition, the two vessels will receive an upgrade of the existing Rolls-Royce ship design engineering package to match the new features. Clipper Vessels Certified by Lloyd’s Register

Danish shipping company joins vanguard of ship operators using the 50001 energy management standard. On Friday in Copenhagen, Lloyd’s Register presented Clipper Fleet Management with ISO 50001 certification issued by LRQA, Lloyd’s Register’s provider of independent business assurance. “To us, the ISO 50001 certification is a valuable recognition and documentation that we’re doing the right things within fuel efficiency and energy management,” says Kristian Morch, Group CEO, Clipper Group.
