NOSKE-KAESER Awarded Major Order from Australian Navy

By 2021, eight frigates from the Royal Australian Navy will be equipped with innovative NOSKE-KAESER technologies. Founded about a year ago, NOSKE-KAESER Marine Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of NOSKE-KAESER GmbH, the maritime technology company with operations worldwide, has secured an order to modernize the air-conditioning and cooling systems on eight frigates belonging to the Royal Australian Navy. Nominations Open for SHIPPINGInsight Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 SHIPPINGInsight Award. The annual award will be presented at a gala luncheon on the opening day of the fifth SHIPPINGInsight Fleet Optimization Conference & Exhibition, Oct. 18, in Stamford, Conn. “The SHIPPINGInsight Award is given annually to a shipping company and its technology partners for the successful implementation of an innovative technology or initiative that advances the state-of-the-art in ship and fleet automation,” said SHIPPINGInsight co-director Jim Rhodes. The winners will receive a binnacled captain’s clock in a polished wooden case with an engraved plaque, along with a framed certificate. Wilh. Wilhelmsen, Callenberg Win SHIPPINGInsight Award

Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA and Callenberg Technology Group were presented the 2015 SHIPPINGInsight Award was today at the SHIPPINGInsight 2015 Fleet Optimization Conference & Exhibition in Stamford, Conn. The annual award honors a shipping company and its technology partners for the implementation of an innovative technology or initiative that advanced the state-of-the-art in fleet optimization. Callenberg developed an innovative engine room energy management technology solution for Wilh. Wilhelmsen that reduced wasted energy through capacity-driven control and management of engine room ventilation systems. The Callenberg technology alters the ventilation and combustion air supply to meet the demand of fresh air to the engine room.

Dometic Marine, a division of Dometic Group, will launch a range of new equipment, including products reported to be the first of their kind for the marine industry, at this year’s International Workboat Show, December 3-5 in New Orleans. Among the new products on display will be the Dometic Cup Cooler, the marine industry’s first thermoelectric cup holder, the Smart Touch Integrated Intelligence Control (STIIC) software for remote monitoring and the Dometic Sea Xchange line of watermakers.
