Order to Trial EVTN Underwater Voraxial Separator

Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc. has received a purchase order to deploy the underwater version of EVTN’s high volume Voraxial 4000 Separator. EVTN envisions its underwater design as the core technology for an advanced generation of skimmer vessels to facilitate the Gulf clean-up effort and to effectively protect the environment from future offshore oil spills. Other technologies that have been deployed in the Gulf followed a similar trial process. The new Underwater Voraxial oil recovery method allows the operator to separate oil from water in the ocean. By conducting the separation in the ocean, the vessels can skim oil for 10 times longer since the amount of water collected in the holding tanks is reduced by 90%.

New Order EVTN’s Separation Technology

Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: EVTN) announced on March 5 that the company has received an order from Twin Filter, a marketing partner of EVTN and a global provider of filtration equipment and services. The purchase order calls for the delivery of a Voraxial(R) Separator to the marine environmental subsidiary of a large oil company. The Voraxial Separator will be configured to perform simultaneous bulk separation of oil, water and sand from large volumes of contaminated water collected from various maritime sources, including ships. The installation of the Voraxial will improve the customer's overall wastewater system while significantly reducing its operating costs.

Enviro Voraxial Technology To Launch New Proprietary System

Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc. announced that they have signed an agreement with Dolfab, Inc. to serve as the exclusive manufacturer for a line of marine vessels that will be specifically designed to incorporate the Company's new proprietary and revolutionary oil spill response and recovery system. The "engine" for the company's new recovery system is the patented Voraxial Separator (VAS) which can be utilized to meet the specific separation criteria for each end-users primary application. The Delaware River Pilots Association recently contracted with Carey's Diesel to repower a vessel with a pair of Isotta Fraschini marine diesel engines, rated at 550 hp @ 2,400 rpm. This is the third vessel the Pilots Association has chosen to repower using Isotta Fraschini engines. The first Isotta Fraschini repowers were two 56,000-lb. vessels named Wilmington and Delaware. Wilmington's two 8V-72T Detroit Diesel two-cycle, eight cylinder engines were replaced with two V1308T2 MLH Isotta Fraschini four-stroke, V-8 cylinder marine diesel engines. Delaware's two 8V-92 Detroit Diesel two-cycle, eight cylinder engines were replaced with a pair of V1312T2 MLH Isotta Fraschini four-stroke, V-12 cylinder marine diesel engines.

Ballast Water Management & Treatment Take Center Stage

While ballast water environmental issues have been news for decades, a renewed focus on the marine industry, specifically the effects ships and boats have on the aquatic environment, is picking up steam and not looking to slowdown. Per an executive order from President Clinton, the U.S. Invasive Species Council is finally getting off the ground, a council which will study the problem and make recommendations regarding treatment. A recent report from the General Accounting Office (GAO-RCED-00-219) found that the U.S. federal goverment spent $513 million in FY ‘99 and will spend $631 million in FY ‘00 for activities related to invasive species.
