CMA CGM Adds Weekly India Port Calls

CMA CGM Group announced the launch of two new weekly services, EPIC 1 and EPIC 2, between the Arab Gulf, Pakistan, North West India and North Europe. The current Epic service will make room for the two new weekly services. EPIC 1 offering a direct connection between North Europe and Pakistan – North West India. • EPIC 2 offering a direct connection beetween North Europe and United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and North West India. The ship operators on both services allow CMA CGM to increase its departure frequency between the Indian subcontinent and North Europe, and enrich its ports coverage. In India with the addition of a weekly call in HAZIRA. In the United Kingdom with three weekly calls ( Southampton and Felixstowe on EPIC 1, London Gateway on EPIC 2).

Salalah Announces New CMA CGM Service Calls

The Port of Salalah, a major Arab Gulf region gateway port and transshipment hub on the Arabian Sea, has announced that French-based CMA CGM, the world’s third-largest container shipping line, will add two new weekly services to East Africa, and Europe, beginning the first week of December: the Noura Express and the EPIC service. The Noura Express service, on the East Africa trade lane operates four vessels of up to 2,755 TEU capacity, linking the ports of Jebel Ali (UAE), Khor al Fakkan (UAE), Mombasa (Kenya), Mogadishu (Somalia) and Salalah. At Salalah, transshipment is available to CMA CGM’s Europe Pakistan India Consortium (EPIC) Service, which links ports in South Asia, the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, and North Europe.

NOURA EXPRESS to Optimise its Service Between East Africa and Europe

Following its core strategy of continuous Africa Lines service upgrade, CMA CGM is pleased to present its latest significant improvement on its NOURA EXPRESS service connecting East Africa with Europe. Starting end of November 2015 with m/v MARIE DELMAS, NOURA EXPRESS fixed-day direct service from Kenya and Somalia will be upgraded with a weekly direct call at Salalah (Oman). First call is expected on December 12th, 2015. This service extension will allow smooth and fast connections from Salalah to Europe with EPIC service. - Excellent opportunity for commodities out of Uganda and Rwanda. Transit time Kampala-Hamburg in 44 days.

CMA CGM Strengthens its Presence in Lebanon

The CMA CGM Group upgrades its Lebanese service by adding a call in Beirut on its EPIC line, joining North Europe to Indian sub-continent, and on its MEX line, joining the Mediterranean to Asia. "We are pleased to announce that starting July 27th the Port of Beirut will be called each week by two of its most emblematic lines. Those lines complete the Group's offer in Lebanon," says the release. The CMA CGM Group provides producers new solutions for imports and fruit and vegetable exports to the Arab Gulf, the Red Sea and the Indian sub-continent. By adding weekly calls in Beirut to its EPIC service, joining North Europe to the Indian sub-continent, and to its MEX service, joining the Mediterranean to Asia, the CMA CGM Group adapts its offer to the Lebanese companies' demand.

CMA CGM Reshuffles Asia-Europe Lines

The CMA CGM Group informs it has reorganized its container shipping lines between Asia and Europe with the reshuffle of its FAL1 and FAL3 services to better meet clients’ needs and optimize vessel utilization, notably increasing Chinese ports coverage with the group’s largest ships. DP World London Gateway Attracting New Container Shippers

As Britain’s new hub port celebrates its first birthday DP World London Gateway has expanded its network of shipping links and destinations, attracting a series of new deep-sea container shipping services. Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has confirmed that from next month (December), its service from South Africa to UK/Northwest Europe will make a direct London Gateway call, switching from the Port of Felixstowe. The new rotation will offer the best possible UK port coverage, MSC has told shippers.

Hamburg Süd Opens Office in India

Hamburg Süd announced the opening of an office in Gandhidham, India, on October 1, 2014. It is the second branch office in the state of Gujarat. Hamburg Süd already has three offices in Mumbai, New Delhi and Ahmedabad. Effective October 1, 2014, Ahmedabad and Gandhidham office will take over all commercial activities including marketing and sales, customer order management and day-to-day operations in Gujarat from Seabridge Maritime Agency. Paresh Kataria will head the Gandhidham branch office.

Second Berth Opens at DP World London Gateway

Berth 2 now fully operational as five new services start up at DP World London Gateway

New shipping services are being announced as the second berth at DP World London Gateway opens for business. Britain’s newest port doubled its capacity as the second berth began operations in May. Five new shipping routes to North America, South America East Coast and West Coast, the Middle East and Europe are starting. New rail, road and container services are also announced. The G6, one of the world’s largest shipping alliances, will start a new service at DP World London Gateway on Friday, May 16.

CMA CGM Rearranges its Services

The CMA CGM Group announced the reshuffling of its services from Europe and Med to West Africa which will allow the Group to adapt to the market and serve the heart of Africa by Through Bill of lading (TBL) to land lock countries. CMA CGM is pleased to announce the PC Weekly service improvement with the insertion of UK and Nigeria call in the rotation. The first voyage will start on December 14, 2013 with M/V Hammonia Antofagasta vge 8D001S. The first voyage will commence on December 13, 2013 with M/V Spero vge 8E001S.

CMA CGM EPIC Service: Europe to Indian Subcontinent

CMA CGM Group is pleased to announce that its EPIC service is now calling Piraeus on its way from North Europe to Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. CMA CGM Group will also be able to meet, via Piraeus, the growing demand of its Turkish customers to markets in the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. Loaded from the Turkish ports of Hayderpasa Gebze Avcilar and Gemlik, containerized goods will reach Jebel Ali via Piraeus between17 and 19 days. The first vessel to start the rotation from North Europe is the CMA CGM ROSSINI, planned to call Piraeus on May 31st.

New Containership Deployed

The German containership newbuild Cap Gabriel recently made its first visit to when it docked at the HHLA Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB). The CAP GABRIEL is operated by the Hamburg Süd shipping company and, together with vessels of the Hapag-Lloyd shipping company’s tonnage, is being deployed in the Indian Ocean Service (IOS) linking Europe, the and the Indian subcontinent. The port rotation in the IOS service is: , Tilbury,, Gioia Tauro, Jebel Ali, , Mundra, Nhava Sheva (Mumbai), Gioia. The new service was created following the termination of the co-operative venture with CMA CGM in the Europe Consortium (EPIC) in May. The CMA CGM shipping line will continue as the sole operator of this service.

The New EPIC Service Launching in May

The first sailing of the restructured EPIC Service of Hamburg Süd and Hapag-Lloyd - linking North Europe with the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, and – will take place in the second week of May. With this service, the partners are offering, among other things, the only direct service from Europe to and the shortest connection to the industrial zones around the seaport. The two lines will be deploying six 4,200 TEU vessels in this service, with Hapag-Lloyd providing four units and Hamburg Süd two. The new EPIC Service will have the following port rotation: - Tilbury - - Gioia Tauro - Jebel Ali - - Mundra - Nhava Sheva - Gioia Tauro - . All key ports of the western and eastern Mediterranean will be linked with the Middle East, and via the central hub, Gioia Tauro.

Hapag-Lloyd, Hamburg Süd Restructure EPIC service

Hapag-Lloyd and Hamburg Süd are restructuring the EPIC service between Europe and Middle East/India. The shipping lines will deploy six 4,000 TEU ships with a weekly frequency in this region in future. Hapag-Lloyd will provide four and Hamburg Süd two units. The vessels each have 400 reefer plugs. The first departure is scheduled for the beginning of May.
