Radix Marine Signs Contract to Build Prototypes

Radix Marine, Inc., a marine vessel development company specializing in port and homeland security and defense initiatives, signed a contract to build two prototype manned vessels with a marine technology company, Advanced Marine Concepts, formed by Philip Whitener, a retired Boeing test engineer and Eric Anderson, CEO of Art Anderson Associates. The boats will be built in Radix Marine's new manufacturing facility, making them the first such orders to be produced by the facility. The prototype vessels are for a proprietary project being developed by Advanced Marine Concepts, and will use patented technology designed by the firm. Production on the vessels, codenamed "Dragonfly," will begin immediately.

Migeotte Joins Art Anderson Associates

Art Anderson Associates announced the addition of naval architect Dr. Günther Migeotte to its marine division. Dr. Migeotte, a world leader in the design and testing of hydrofoil supported catamarans, joined the firm from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, where he was responsible for all commercial and research projects related to naval architecture carried out at the University including the design and model testing of the original “Hysucat” and the improved “Hysuwac” version of the high-speed, hydrofoil assisted catamaran. At the University, Dr. Migeotte was responsible for towing tank testing of high speed craft, CFD and theoretical calculations for resistance and powering of high speed craft…
