Imtech Marine to Supplier Infinity to Global Markets

Solution that increases efficiency of ship’s operations fits in Imtech Marine’s life cycle management strategy. A  global maritime company Imtech Marine (Rotterdam) and satellite communications specialist Navarino (Piraeus) have announced a partnership. Imtech Marine has become global supplier of Infinity, an advanced maritime bandwidth management and optimisation solution that can be used onboard ships equipped with IP-based satellite terminals (such as Fleet BroadBand or VSAT). Imtech Marine chose Infinity for its ability to support Imtech Marine’s Global VSAT network and various connectivity solutions. Imtech Marine offices that will be offering Infinity include Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, China, Singapore and USA.

Imtech Marine Introduces the New Furuno RHRS 2014

Furuno and Imtech Marine have jointly developed an innovative product for inland waterway shipping. The RHRS 2014 river radar is a revolutionary color radar, unique in the inland shipping market is the mouse control, which makes this radar very user-friendly. It also offers maximum safety thanks to a black box with two SD cards for 24 hours of storage of radar images. The RHRS 2014 replaces the RHRS 2005, which is now being used on more than 4,000 inland waterway ships. The RHRS 2014 is approved by the  Wasser- und Schifffahrtsverwaltung des Bundes for inland waterway shipping in Europe.

Imtech Marine Opens Two New Offices in Spain

Imtech Marine, global full-service provider of tailor-made, innovative marine technology solutions, opened a new office in Barcelona on November 1, just weeks after adding Valencia to its extensive global network. In October 2011, Imtech Marine opened its first Spanish office in Algeciras. With the latest Spanish additions the Rotterdam-headquartered company now has 94 offices worldwide, strategically located on major shipping lanes and in shipbuilding centers. The new Barcelona office is located in the MB92 Shipyard, one of the most important Super/Mega yacht shipyards in the Mediterranean. As well as further expanding its activities in the deepsea and superyacht market, Imtech Marine is looking to boost its presence in the cruise market in Spain.

Imtech Completes Three Offshore Ships

Imtech Marine, specialized in system integration, successfully completed three innovative new-build vessel projects in Singapore; Seven Borealis for Subsea 7, Rockpiper for a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster NV and Flintstone for Tideway, part of the DEME Group. The ships will all operate in the oil and gas market. Imtech Marine has combined specific capabilities of its offices in Rotterdam, Shanghai and Singapore. The supply package for two of the three ships includes advanced dynamic positioning (DP), diesel electric propulsion, vessel management (VMS), automation, navigation and communication. The design and engineering was done in Rotterdam, production in Shanghai and installation & commissioning by the Imtech Marine team in Singapore.

Imtech Marine Signs Agreement to Become Global Xpress Reseller

Rotterdam – Imtech Marine announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Inmarsat to become the first Value Added Reseller of Global Xpress. Global Xpress will be the first global Ka-band network, offering the shipping industry unprecedented speeds and reliability: up to 50Mbps through a 60-100cm antenna. Inmarsat will make XpressLink available to Imtech Marine to offer a bridge to GX with a bundled package of Ku-band VSAT and L-band Fleet Broadband. “Global Xpress will be a world-first in maritime communications, and we are delighted that Imtech will be a frontrunner in offering this solution to the maritime market,” said Eric van den Adel, Managing Director of Imtech Marine.

Imtech Marine Inks VSAT and TVRO Contracts

Imtech Marine has recently signed Global Distribution and Service agreements for satellite communication (VSAT) and satellite TV (TVRO) products with three prominent manufacturers. Via its company Radio Holland, Imtech Marine already had (long) relationships with Intellian, Jotron and Thrane & Thrane, which are now extended for VSAT and TVRO. All Imtech Marine branches (80 around the world)  will supply, install, commission and service the  systems and arrange airtime. The agreements are in line with Imtech Marine’s multicard strategy, focussed on quality solutions. As a full service provider and system integrator Imtech Marine’strategy is focussed on life cycle management partnership and on increasing the value of the ship’s operations.

Imtech Marine Targets Doubling Revenue

Imtech Marine (the marine division of technical services provider Imtech) announced its new 2011 - 2015 growth strategy. Imtech Marine targets to double its revenue up to one billion euro in 2015. Growth will be achieved by organic growth and by means of acquisitions.
