Euroship Installs Software on New Bulk Carrier Vessels

U.K.-based Marine Software Ltd. have delivered Marine Planned Maintenance, Marine Storekeeper and Marine Purchasing software packages to Ship Managers Euroship Services for their new build handysize Bulk Carrier vessels, Lowlands Saguenay and Lowlands Boreas (35,000 DWT). Constructed at the Zhejiang East Coast Shipbuilding yard, these Cobelfret owned vessels will also be equipped with Marine Software's integrated barcode package to assist with on-board spare parts management.

Eleven-Ship Contract Placed by EuroShip

Euroship Services has ordered 11 Navmaster PC-based ECDIS to be installed throughout the Cobelfret fleet of Ro-Ros. The contract was awarded to PC Maritime, developers of Navmaster, after extensive competitive trials of 5 systems over a six-month period. Navmaster was selected for its clarity and ease of use, backed by PC Maritime's high quality service and responsiveness to customer requests. The EuroShip contract includes installation and training delivered by PC Maritime staff onboard each of the eleven ships. Seven are already operating with Navmaster, and the remaining four installations will be completed in October.

Alfa Laval Enters Agreement with European Shipyards

The supplier frame agreement is made between Alfa Laval and Euroship, a group of European shipyards made up of Chantiers de l’Atlantique, Alstom Marine of France, Fincantieri S. p. A. of Italy, Howaldtswerke Deutsche Werft and Jos. L. Meyer Werft of Germany and Izar Construcciones Navales S. A. of Spain. The frame agreement covers supplies of fuel oil and lube oil separator modules for the new constructions built at the Euroship yards. The aim is to co-ordinate standards between Alfa Laval and Euroship so that supplies can be specified and shipped according to agreed standards, thereby improving delivery times and lowering costs for all parties involved.
