AD Ports and Crystal Offshore Sign Deal to Set Up Offshore Rig and Vessel Repair Base in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Port

Abu Dhabi-based AD Ports Group has signed a 25 years agreement with Singapore-based Crystal Offshore a logistics solution provider to the marine & offshore Industry to build an offshore rig and vessel repair base in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Port.Under the agreement, a 20,000 square meter plot of land and an associated quay wall in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Port will be allocated for Crystal Offshore to construct a base, featuring office facilities and fabrication workshops to provide advanced repairs and refits to jack-up rigs as well as marine and offshore vessels.Saif Al Mazrouei…

Torqeedo Breaks Ground on New HQ

Electric drives manufacturer  announced it has broken ground on its new headquarters and production facilities in the Munich metro area on Wednesday.Construction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022, and the site will consist of 3,720 square meters of office space, with a mix of co-working spaces and on-site offices, 4,800 square meters of warehouse, production, and research and development area.Dr. Ralf Plieninger, managing director of Torqeedo, said, "The new facilities will allow direct contact and exchange between various departments.

New Mammoet Crane in Operation in Lagos Deep Offshore Logistic Base

Nigeria's Lagos Deep Offshore Logistic Base, LADOL, serving the country's offshore oil and gas industry, now has a new crane in operation - Mammoet Terminal Crane (MTC 15).LADOL and Mammoet had in January signed a partnership agreement aimed at growing LADOL’s capacity for project cargo handling and logistics for industrial sectors in West Africa. Mammoet then supplied LADOL with its heavy-lift terminal crane - MTC 15 - which has transformed LADOL’s quayside into a heavy lift terminal.

FortisBC Starts Expansion of Tilbury LNG Facility

FortisBC – a subsidiary of Fortis Inc. has officially started construction of its $400 million Tilbury LNG Facility expansion project today. The company is adding 1.1 million gigajoules of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to storage and 34,000 gigajoules per day of liquefaction capacity. FortisBC marked the occasion with a ground-breaking ceremony attended by The Honourable Christy Clark, Premier of British Columbia; Delta Mayor Lois Jackson; as well as Scott Hamilton, MLA North Delta; and Vicki Huntington, MLA South Delta. FortisBC Energy Inc. operates the only two LNG facilities in Western Canada. The existing Tilbury LNG Facility opened in 1971 and has safely operated in Delta, B.C. for the last 43 years.

New OPS Plant to Start Production in Abu Dhabi

Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC), and Polysys Additive Technologies Middle East (PAT ME) held a groundbreaking ceremony, laying the foundation for its One Pack Systems (OPS) manufacturing plant which will be located in the industrial zone within the dedicated mixed use cluster covering an area of 197,424 square feet. PAT ME signed a 30-year Musataha agreement with Kizad. The plant, which is expected to be finalized by 2014, will focus on the production of polymer stabilizers called Songnox One Pack Systems.
