Swan Energy to Invest $845 mln for FSRU Terminal

Swan Energy Limited will invest around Rs. 5,600 crore ($845 mln) towards setting up of Jafrabad LNG Port project in Gujarat with one jetty-moored Floating, Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU). The joint venture project by Swan Energy Limited (SEL) and its Belgium partner Exmar Marine N.V. will be the country's first jetty-moored FSRU. Swan Energy holds 51 per cent stake in the JV company, Swan LNG Pvt Ltd, while Exmar Marine and Gujarat-government's Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) hold 38 per cent and 11 per cent respectively. To be commissioned in January 2019, the Jafrabad LNG Port will see a 5 MTPA receiving terminalā€¦

Daewoo Marine Wins $730m Order

Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering announced it won a combined $730m orders to build four ships. They include liquefied natural gas re-gasification vessels (LNG-RV, or LNG carriers equipped with LNG terminals). The shipbuilder won a contract to build two LNG-RV with a capacity of 150,900 §© for Belgium's Exmar Marine N.V. and two large LPG vessels with a capacity of 83,000 §© for Greece's Gulf Marine Management S.A. The LNG-RV that Daewoo is to build is 291x43x26m. They can make some 19.2 knots (36 km/h). (Source: Chosun Ilbo)

Daewoo Shipbuilding Wins 730m Orders from Belgium, Greece

According to sources, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co said it has won 730m in orders from firms in Belgium and Greece. The shipbuilder said it has secured an order from Exmar Marine NV of Belgium for two LNG regasification vessels and a contract from Gulf Marine Management SA of Greece to build two very large gas carriers. It did not disclose details of each contract. The deals take its order book to 5.22 bln usd or 25 ships, including nine liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
