HMK Scoops Major Naval Comms Order

ATLAS ELEKTRONIK subsidiary Hagenuk Marinekommunikation (HMK) has been commissioned by the “ARGE K130 2nd Batch” consortium to supply integrated communication systems for units 6 to 10 of the Type K130 corvettes for the German Navy.The scope of supply includes radios of the complete telecommunications spectrum from 10 kHz to 20 GHz, which enable information to be exchanged with other ships, boats or shore stations via special input devices in the form of voice and data radio. These intelligent communication systems offer users the greatest possible support in their tasks and thus make a significant contribution to the reliable operation of ships and their crews.

Combat Systems Ordered for German K130 Corvettes

ATLAS ELEKTRONIK and Thales Deutschland have jointly been commissioned to deliver the combat system of the German Class K130 Corvette. The order comprises five corvettes as well as the Test and Training Centre (EZ/BUZ) in Wilhelmshaven.With completion scheduled for 2025, the FüWES K130 consortium formed by the two companies and led by ATLAS ELEKTRONIK will deliver the combat system hardware and also adapt and update the existing Combat Management System software of the K130, first batch (ships 1-5).The contracted solution for ships 6-10 is identical to the original contract (2003) for the K130, first batch. In line with the re-build requirement, changes in the solution are only related to obsolescence and compliancy with German regulations.

Tech Upgrade for German Minehunting Vessels

ATLAS ELEKTRONIK said it has received an order from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) for the modernization of three minehunting vessels of the Frankenthal class (Type 332) in service with the German Navy. The objective of this project, which bears the designation MJ 332 CL, is to equip the three boats with the Integrated Mine Counter Measure System (IMCMS) and the mine disposal vehicle SeaFox of ATLAS ELEKTRONIK.

Imtech to Provide Air Conditioning and Ventilation on EGV Bonn

Imtech Marine (division Schiffbau-/Dockbauttechnik) has provided the German Navy vessel Einsatzgruppenversorger (EGV) Bonn with engineering, material delivery, installation and commissioning of the innovative HVAC-system, the hot and chilled water plant, the refrigerating plant for provision- and waste-cooling as well as the chilled water units. The EGV has been ordered by the German Federal Ministry of Defence in December 2008 and has been delivered to The Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) on June 26, 2013.

Atlas Elektronik , Thales to Modernize F124 Frigate

Atlas Elektronik and Thales Deutschland have been jointly commissioned to modernize the combat system of the German Class F124 frigates. The CEOs of both enterprises recently signed the contract at the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) in Koblenz. With completion scheduled for 2017, the “HW Regeneration CDS F124” consortium formed by the two companies will refurbish the hardware of the Combat Direction System (CDS) and also adapt and update the software. The regeneration process is driven by the sweeping implementation of commercial hardware and software because technological development in this field is progressing at a rapid pace.
