Thomas Crowley Awards Go to Ayala & Zacharia

Crowley Maritime Corp. says that Jose “Pache” Ayala, vice president, Puerto Rico services, and Shiju Zacharia, director, technology, were presented with 2013 Thomas Crowley awards, the company's highest honor, at a ceremony yesterday at the company’s Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters. Ayala was selected for the award because of his continued commitment, hard work, embrace of change and focus on the future success of the company. He was also credited for always working with a high degree of integrity, mutual trust and respect among employees, customers and service providers. Crowley Opens New Guatemala City Office

In an effort to better serve customers and business partners, Crowley Maritime Corp.’s Guatemala-based liner and logistics teams have moved into a new office space in the heart of Guatemala City, the country’s bustling metropolis and most populous city in Central America. Modeled after Crowley’s Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters, the office’s open layout maximizes the workspace while promoting a collaborative environment and synergy between the two business units, which were previously housed in separate buildings.

Crowley Chairman Presents Founder's Awards

Crowley Maritime Corp. announce the presentation of the company's highest honor to Micki Harrison, director, human resources, and Miguel Artiga, vice president, logistics, Central America, at a ceremony at Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters. The exclusive employee recognition program was created in 1985 and only 56 of the company's more than 5,300 employees have received the award symbolized by a limited edition bronze sculpture, which depicts company founder Thomas Crowley ferrying goods to and from ships on San Francisco Bay in the early 1890s.

Keenan Joins TITAN Salvage as Director of Operations

Patrick Keenan has joined the TITAN Salvage team as director of operations, bringing more than 20 years of worldwide, hands-on experience in naval architecture, marine engineering, salvage and marine pollution abatement. In his new position, Keenan will report to Managing Director Rich Habib and will be based in the company’s Pompano Beach, Fla., headquarters. TITAN is a Crowley Maritime Corp. subsidiary. Prior to joining TITAN, Keenan, who is a bilingual English-Spanish speaker, spent four years as the supervisor of salvage and diving, and director of ocean engineering for the U.S.
