Massive ROV Fleet Expansion by Harkand

The Harkand Group signs a deal with Forum Subsea Technologies that will see it extend its ROV fleet by 25% & create 30 new full time jobs. Harkand, formed through the recent merger of Iremis, Integrated Subsea Services (ISS) and Andrews Survey following investment by Oaktree Capital Management, has bases in Aberdeen in the UK, Dubai in the Middle East and Singapore and Perth in Asia Pacific. The program, which on delivery will see Harkand’s fleet grow to 29 vehicles, includes three Triton XLX 150HP workclass ROVs and one Comanche, with an option for a further two XLX vehicles.

ROV Contract for Forum Energy

Houston-based Forum Energy Technologies contracted by Cummings Consulting to supply two Sub-Atlantic Mojave Systems ROV's. Both of the Mojave ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) will be equipped with job specific tooling systems such as; electric winches, touch screen control monitors, Sub-can Control Systems, sonar, color and monochrome cameras. Also included are two three function manipulators and VisualSoft™ data capture capabilities. The Mojave systems are capable of reaching depths of 300 meters, and will be deployed for assessment analysis immediately off the coast of Florida. "The Mojave was the perfect observation vehicle for us because of its high thrust, low cost and easy deployment. Our relationship with Forum played an important role in our purchase as well.

Forum to Provide Offshore Trenching System to Global Marine

Forum Energy Technologies contracts with Global Marine Systems to supply a PerryTM XT 600 Trenching System. The XT 600 Trenching System is scheduled for delivery in 2013. It will be installed in the Global Marine vessel the Cable Retriever, based in the Philippines, and will replace the T205 trencher that was previously supplied by Forum/Perry in 2000. The XT 600 Trenching System will be used to support Global Marine's subsea cable maintenance contracts in South East Asia and the Indian Ocean. The trenching system is to come complete with Launch & Recovery System and special tooling. The trencher provides three meter ROV burial capability on the ocean floor.

Forum Sells Two Sub-Atlantic™ ROV's

Forum Energy Technologies sell two Sub-Atlantic™ ROVs to IKM Subsea for deployment in North Sea and Singapore waters. "We recently won a five year frame agreement with Statoil, and we intend to continue our strong growth both in the Norwegian and International market," says IKM Subsea Managing Director Ben Pollard. IKM Subsea Business Development Manager, Mahesh Govindan added, "Sub-Atlantic's technical and spares support capability in Singapore was one of the key factors in our decision to purchase the vehicles. ROV Locator on Display in 'Titanic' Museum

Forum Energy Technologies announce the placement of a Sub-Atlantic Mohawk™ observation class ROV at the 'Titanic' Belfast Museum. Forum Subsea Technologies, a business line of Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. of Houston, Texas, has placed on permanent display a Sub-Atlantic Mohawk™ observation class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) at the Titanic Belfast Museum to help tell the story of the RMS Titanic. The newly opened Titanic Belfast Museum, the world's largest Titanic visitor attraction, is located in the heart of Belfast. In 1985, Robert Ballard, Jean-Louis Michel and their French-American team finally located the wreckage of one of the most famous and tragic ships in history.

Forum Subsea Technologies Launches New Tomahawk™ ROV

Forum Subsea Technologies has officially launched Tomahawk, the latest addition to its range of multi-role remote operated vehicles (ROVs). Tomahawk has been built to be fast and agile and it shares the same 35kw power system and thrusters as Forum’s largest electric, the Comanche. It is manufactured by Sub-Atlantic, a product line of Forum Subsea Technologies, at its facility in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
