Liebherr Bolsters Its Australia Maritime Business

Liebherr Maritime said it will establish full service, spares and sales activities in Australia, New Zealand and the Oceania region to create better support for maritime customers using factory trained and locally recruited engineers. Additionally, Liebherr representative Morrow Equipment Australia will focus on the purchase and rental of tower cranes in the future. Liebherr Simulator (LiSIM) for Operator Training

Liebherr launched LiSIM for operator training on deep foundation equipment and crawler cranes up to 300 t for the first time at Conexpo 2014 in Las Vegas (USA). The simulator is not only available as easy-to-transport containerized solution but also as classroom solution and as space-saving cab solution. Based on original software and hardware the Liebherr simulators increase both productivity and safety by providing a cost-effective and highly efficient operator training solution. Liebherr simulators help trainees to significantly improve their skills in a virtual but realistic environment. The resulting increase in skills allows for safe and productive operation in the real world. For the simulator the LB 28 rotary drilling rig and the LR 1300 crawler crane have been modelled.

IHC Hydrohammer Supplies Largest Piling Hammer For Seaway

IHC Hydrohammer, part of IHC Merwede, has been awarded a contract by Seaway Heavy Lifting to design and manufacture the S-2500 piling hammer, which is the largest ever built by the company. IHC Hydrohammer is delighted to be chosen as the supplier of this equipment and the order highlights the strong and reliable cooperation that has developed between the two companies over more than 20 years. The order also includes a 6,500mm guide sleeve and other equipment needed for offshore operations in both the oil and gas and offshore wind markets.
