Bollinger Shipyards has delivered the newest Sentinel-class Fast Response Cutter (FRC), the USCGC John Scheuerman, to the U.S. Coast Guard in Key West, Fla. nearly one week ahead of schedule despite a three week shutdown due to the significant damage sustained to Bollinger’s facilities during Hurricane Ida. Bollinger Adds Drydock Lift Capacity

Bollinger Shipyards has taken delivery of two drydocks with a total lifting capacity of 12,000 tons. Terms and conditions of the purchase were not made available. One of the docks, a 10,500 ton dry-dock will be located at the Bollinger Port Fourchon facility, and measures 320-ft. x 100-ft. between the wing walls. Bollinger now has three commercial drydocks located in Fourchon with a combined lifting capacity of over 22,000 tons. Bollinger Safety Program Achieves Milestones

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. continues to achieve safety milestones changing the culture of shipyard safety awareness at its US based facilities. In the last quarter, Bollinger facilities at Algiers and Lockport New Construction both surpassed one year without a lost time accident. Of the many program achievements this year, the Bollinger Fourchon facility reached 10 years without a LTA, and the Bollinger Marine Fabricators’ facility reached an impressive 2,750,000 man-hours worked without a LTA. Achieving these significant accomplishments reinforces Bollinger’s commitment to provide world-class performance levels in all aspects of compliance at its twelve (12) shipyard facilities.
