Classification society DNV has awarded the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping in collaboration with Nordic Green Ammonia Powered Ships (NoGAPS) partners BW Epic Kosan, Yara, MAN Energy Solutions, Wärtsilä, Global Maritime Forum and Breeze Ship Design an Approval in Principle (AiP) for the design of an ammonia-powered gas carrier – the M/S NoGAPS. ABS AIPs for Hudong-Zhonghua Gas Carrier Design
The global provider of classification and technical advisory services to the marine and offshore industries ABS has granted Approval in Principle (AIP) to two new gas carrier designs from Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding.The two new vessel designs are for a 200,000cbm LNG Carrier and a 147,000cbm Very Large Ethane Carrier (VLEC).“ABS is proud to support the pioneering work of Hudong Zhonghua in the design and delivery of gas carriers.
