Mitsubishi Delivered First LNG FGSS Fueled PCC

Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has delivered the first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) fuel supply system "FGSS (Fuel Gas Supply System)" for dual fuel marine engines. LNG Vessel with Wartsila Integrated Solutions Delivered to Evergas

The first in a series of 27,500 cbm 'Dragon' class vessels ordered by Evergas, a world renowned owner and operator of seaborne petrochemical and liquid gas transport vessels, is being delivered from the Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (SOE) shipyard in China today. The vessel features a comprehensive Wärtsilä solutions package, including two Wärtsilä 50DF dual-fuel engines, Wärtsilä propulsion equipment including the gearbox, two Wärtsilä 20DF auxiliary generating sets, a Wärtsilä LNG fuel system and a Wärtsilä cargo handling system. The various systems are fully integrated to achieve maximum efficiencies. The order with Wärtsilä was placed in the beginning of 2013.

Wärtsilä, Cryonorm to Develop LNGPac Fuel System

An agreement has been reached between Wärtsilä and Cryonorm Systems BV, the Netherlands based developer and supplier of cryogenic vaporizers, to form a consortium to deliver LNG systems for the Inland Waterway (IWW) European market. The main aim of this cooperation is to create a standard LNG fuel system for inland waterway vessels that will achieve lower costs, while also reducing the lead time for the system so as to conform with the short building time of these vessels. As part of the study, numerous types of vessels that operate on European rivers have been analyzed and, as a result, five vessel types have been identified as potential targets for an LNG fuel system. From this study, standards have been established for both newbuild and retrofit installations.

Wärtsilä Receives Repeat Order from Evergas

Three new 27,000 cbm LNG/Multigas Carriers for Evergas, the Denmark based transporter of petrochemical gases and natural gas liquids, are to be built featuring the integrated Wärtsilä solution, comprising the main propulsion equipment, the gas fuel supply system, and the cargo handling system. This order is an extension of the one placed in 2013 for a series of three similar vessels. The ships are being built by the Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (SOE) shipyard in China, and feature an advanced design that offers very high efficiency and unparalleled flexibility.

Evergas Order Wärtsilä Systems for New Multigas Carriers

The integrated Wärtsilä solution, comprising the main propulsion equipment, the gas fuel supply system, and the cargo handling system, has been ordered for 3 new state-of-the-art 27,000 cbm LNG/Multigas Carriers for Evergas, the Denmark based transporter of petrochemical gases and natural gas liquids. Wärtsilä explain that this order is an extension of the one placed in 2013 for a series of three similar vessels. The ships are being built by the Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (SOE) shipyard in China, and feature an advanced design that offers very high efficiency and unparalleled flexibility. For each vessel Wärtsilä will supply two Wärtsilä 50DF dual-fuel main engines, two Wärtsilä 20DF auxiliary gensets, the gearbox, and the controllable pitch propeller.

Wärtsilä Win Evergas LNG Carriers Contract

Wärtsilä to supply cargo handling package, dual-fuel engines & propulsion for Denmark's Evergas to be built at Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering in China. In addition to LNG, the ships will be able to carry and reliquefy Ethane and LPGs with the cargo handling package supplied by Wärtsilä. The vessels will operate primarily on liquefied natural gas (LNG) using Wärtsilä dual-fuel engine technology. This will enable them to comply with current and anticipated environmental legislation, including the International Maritime Organisation's (IMO) Tier III regulations.

MHI to Develop"UEC-LSGi," Low-speed, 2-stroke, Dual-fuel Marine Diesel

Mitsubishi-UE Diesel Engine(6UEC85LSII): Mitsubishi-UEC diesel engine was developed by us in1955. The Mitsubishi UEC series low-speed marine diesel engines are long range of ship types, including handymax and panamax bulk carriers, multi purpose cargo ships.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has begun  developing "UEC-LSGi," low-speed, dual-fuel, marine diesel engines capable of using not only conventional heavy oil but also natural gas for their fuel. The new engine will be added to the lineup of the Mitsubishi UEC Engine Series, the company's 2-stroke, low-speed marine diesel engine brand.
