BSOG Gets Approval in Offshore Romania

Romanian-based Black Sea Oil & Gas (BSOG), controlled by private equity firm Carlyle Group, said that it received approval from the Romanian government for the field development plan (FDP) for the Ana and Doina gas fields.The Ana and Doina gas fields make up the Midia Gas Development (MGD) Project, offshore Black Sea.The MGD Project, which is the 1st new offshore gas development project in the Romanian Black Sea to be built after 1989, consists of 5 offshore production wells (1 subsea well at Doina field and 4 platform wells at Ana field) a subsea gas production system over the Doina well which will be connected through an 18 km pipeline…

Engie to Buy Gas from Romania's Black Sea Oil & Gas

Romanian based independent oil and gas company Black Sea Oil & Gas together with its co-venture partners, Petro Ventures Resources and Gas Plus International, announced the signing of the Gas Sales Agreement with ENGIE through its subsidiary Engie Energy Management Romania  for natural gas supply from the Midia Gas Development (MGD)Project .Under this agreement, which is subject to Final Investment Decision, ENGIE will purchase gas from the Ana and Doina gas reservoirs over a minimum period of 10 years in compliance with Romanian law.Expected contractual volumes at project completion represent 0,5 bcm per year. Trump Signs 43 Billion Dollar LNG Deal with China

On his visit to China, President Trump reaffirmed his commitment to form agreements that reduce the trade deficit with China by signing a deal to help the LNG industry in Alaska with three Chinese companies. The deal, which could be potentially worth $43 billion, involves Sinopec, the largest oil company in China, the sovereign wealth fund and one of China's largest bank. will work together to create 12,000 jobs in Alaska. The deal has the potential to reduce the US-China trade deficit  by $10 billion a year.

Meyer Werft delivered the 168,660-gt cruise ship Ovation of the Seas to the U.S. cruise operator Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. today in Bremerhaven. The third ship of the Quantum class sets new standards in terms of eco-friendliness, according to the shipbuilder: it features highly energy-efficient systems, optimized hydrodynamics, heat recovery, an effective underwater paint coating, a state-of-the-art exhaust gas treatment plant (hybrid scrubber) as well as energy-saving LED lighting systems.

Alaska LNG Gets Conditional Approval to Export

The Alaska LNG project marks another significant milestone with today’s announcement by the United States Department of Energy that it has conditionally authorized the Alaska LNG Project LLC to export liquefied natural gas to non-Free Trade Agreement countries. The application to export up to 20 million metric tons per year of liquefied natural gas from Alaska for a 30-year period was submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy last July. Authorization to export to nations with existing free trade agreements with the U.S. was previously received in November 2014. Today’s announcement conditionally further expands the authorization to include non-Free Trade Agreement countries as well.

Along with computers, KVM technology enters ships across the world. German manufacturers Guntermann & Drunck GmbH (G&D) were already working on KVM solutions before this technology had a name. The company was founded by Udo Guntermann and Martin Drunck in 1985. Meyer Werft delivered the latest in a long line of cruise ships that grow ever larger and more spectacular in their outfit, final finish and performance. The 167,800-gt cruise ship Quantum of the Seas was built for and delivered to Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (Miami). This is the first ship of the Quantum class. It features highly energy-efficient systems, optimized hydrodynamics, heat recovery, an effective underwater paint coating, a state-of-the-art exhaust gas treatment plant (hybrid scrubber) as well as energy-saving LED lighting systems.

Quantum of the Seas Sails into New York Harbor

Royal Caribbean's newest cruise ship, Quantum of the Seas, arrived in the New York Harbor in the early morning hours on November 10. The 167,800-gt cruise ship, built by MEYER WERFT, departed from Bremerhaven to Southampton October 28, 2014, from where she embarked on her Atlantic crossing on November 2. Quantum of the Seas arrived to New York Harbor Monday, passing under the Verazzano Bridge and past the Statue of Liberty before heading into her homeport, New Jersey’s newly refurbished Cape Liberty port.

MEYER WERFT delivered the 167,800-gt cruise ship Quantum of the Seas to the U.S. cruise operator Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. yesterday in Bremerhaven. According to the builder, the first ship of the Quantum class sets new standards in terms of eco-friendliness, featuring highly energy-efficient systems, optimized hydrodynamics, heat recovery, an effective underwater paint coating, a state-of-the-art exhaust gas treatment plant (hybrid scrubber) as well as energy-saving LED lighting systems. The ship can accommodate 4,180 guests in 2,090 cabins, and is staffed by a crew of approximately 1,550.

ABB WinsTunisia's Gas Treatment Plant Bid

ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has been awarded a $216 million contract to deliver a gas treatment plant to the South Tunisian Gas Project (STGP).The order was awarded by OMV Tunisie Production GmbH, a subsidiary of Austrian energy group OMV, and was booked in the third quarter. ABB will be responsible for the turnkey delivery of the Nawara gas treatment plant (GTP) including gas separation and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) extraction units. It will also provide key automation, communications and power components, including the control system and transformers and switchgear for the electrification of the plant.

EXXONMOBIL Files Export Application for Alaska LNG Project

In another important step forward for the Alaska LNG project, an application to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) was submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy by EXXONMobil. The export application requests authorization to export up to 20 million metric tons per year of LNG for a period of 30 years to countries that have existing free trade agreements with the U.S., as well as to non-free trade agreement countries. “This is a significant milestone for the Alaska LNG project and demonstrates continued progress toward developing Alaska’s resources,” said Steve Butt, senior project manager. Alaska LNG Project Chooses Terminal Location

ExxonMobil , BP, ConocoPhillips and TransCanada have selected a site in the Nikiski area on the Kenai Peninsula as the lead site for the proposed Alaska LNG project’s natural gas liquefaction plant and terminal. The consortium states that more than 20 locations were evaluated based on conditions related to the environment, socioeconomics, cost, and other project and technical issues. “This is a step forward for the Alaska LNG project and shows continued progress toward building Alaska’s energy future,” said Steve Butt, senior project manager.

Russian Yard Expects Arctic-class LNG Carrier Contract

United Shipbuilding Corporation may build four Arctic class LNG carriers for the Pechora LNG project in northern Russia. Developers of the project, Alltech's President Dmitry Bosov informed that preliminary agreements had been signed with Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation for four ships with a deadweight tonnage of about 170,000 mt each, report Ria Novosti. The Pechora project includes development of the Kumzhinskoye and Korovinskoye fields in the Nenets Autonomous District, with construction of an LNG production plant, a gas treatment plant, and logistics infrastructure.
