Gasum to Manage Wasaline’s Emissions Allowances

Finland Receives LNG Cargo, Books More for the Winter

A tanker carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) docked at Finland's Inkoo terminal on Sunday and has begun unloading, energy company Gasum said on Monday, the second cargo to arrive since the damage last month to a Finnish-Estonian pipeline.The Arctic Princess, carrying natural gas from the Arctic Hammerfest LNG plant, had been expected to arrive at Inkoo during the weekend, shipping data showed on Friday.The delivery amounted to about 400 gigawatt hours of energy, Gasum said."In addition to this delivery, Gasum has reserved three more slots at the Inkoo FSRU for the upcoming winter season.

Gasum to Supply LNG to MSC Euribia

Gasum and the Cruise Division of MSC Group have signed a long-term agreement for the supply of LNG to the new flagship MSC Cruises vessel MSC Euribia.The companies have also signed a Letter of Intent with the goal of cooperating on the supply of synthetic e-LNG made with renewable energy as part of MSC Cruise Division’s strategy to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions from its marine operations by 2050.MSC Euribia recently sailed the cruise industry’s first net zero greenhouse gas emissions voyage.

Finnish Patrol Boat to Test Bio LNG Fuel

The Finnish Border Guard is testing bio liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel for a coastguard patrol vessel in an effort to lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, thereby lessening the impact on global warming.The 96 meter long vessel Turva is fitted with Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines and has been supported with a Wärtsilä maintenance agreement since its launch in 2014. The Bio LNG fuel is supplied by Gasum, a Finnish state-owned biogas refiner. Bio LNG is a 100%  renewable fuel that can reduce CO2 emissions over its lifecycle by up to 90% compared to conventional fuel.

Gasum to Bunker Equinor's Tankers

Finnish utility Gasum has signed an agreement with Norwegian energy giant Equinor for the delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the latter’s crude shuttle tankers.The Nordic energy company said in a press release that the supply will commence when the shuttle tankers start operating during 2020.The LNG bunkering deliveries will mainly take place off Skagen, the most northern part of Denmark, and at Mongstad, close to Bergen, Norway. Gasum Performs 200th LNG Bunkering Operation

The Nordic energy company Gasum said its LNG bunkering vessel Coralius has successfully performed its 200th ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation.The vessel receiving the LNG fuel was Fjord Line’s MS Stavangerfjord.
