Changes at PRS Helm

Polish Register of Shipping announces that the long-serving President of the Board of the classification society Dr. Jan Jankowski, and Board Member Jerzy Wyrzykowski are stepping down from their posts in June in 2013. They had been at helm of the Society for 16 years. Under their leadership PRS developed and instigated proceedings for passing a law in Polish Parliament to recognize Polish Register of Shipping as a non for profit organization, free of share holders commercial pressures, allotting the society’s income to development of the Society and R&D work for enhancing safety.

SeeByte Provides SeeTrack Military Training to the Polish Navy

SeeByte, the global leader in creating smart software technology for unmanned systems, has successfully provided the Gdansk University of Technology (GUT) and the Polish Navy full training to accompany their recent purchase of SeeByte’s SeeTrack Military software. Having acquired SeeTrack Military earlier this year, SeeByte’s team trained two engineers from GUT and two members of Poland’s naval staff, including Lieutenant Adam Polak of the Polish Naval Academy, at SeeByte’s headquarters in Edinburgh.

Mediterranean Shipping Co. Announces Appointments

Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) Inc. (MSC) has announced the following staff promotions and appointments effective immediately: Francesco Pansardi was named Marketing Manager, based in New York City; Tom Hughes was named National Trade Manager Transpacific Service, based in Los Angeles; Halina Rosa was named Trade Manager East Coast for the company's Transpacific service based in New York City; and Juan Wilson has been named Credit Manager, also based in New York City. Francesco Pansardi joined MSC in April of 1998. Prior to that, he had worked with Henkel Cosmetic Italia in Parma as product manager, and before that, with Bruno Magli Group as assistant product manager.
