GE Shipping Adds VLGC Jag Vasant to its Fleet

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) took delivery of secondhand Very Large Gas Carrier "Jag Vasant" of about 83,270 cbm. The company had contracted to buy the vessel in Q2 FY19.The Company's current fleet stands at 49 vessels, comprising 35 tankers (12 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, 6 LPG carrier) and 14 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 5 Supramax) with an average age of 10.90 years aggregating 3.98 mn dwt.The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited is India's largest private sector shipping company which mainly transports liquid, gas and solid bulk products. GE Shipping to Buy Secondhand VLGC

India's largest private sector shipping company which mainly transports liquid, gas and solid bulk products Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) signed a contract to buy a secondhand Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) of about 81,617 cbm. The 2007 built vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet in Q1 FY19. This is the second gas carrier in less than a week as GE Shipping looks to tap the rising demand to import liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in India. On March 26, GE Shipping  signed a contract to buy a secondhand Medium Gas Carrier (MGC) of about 36,567 cbm. The 1996 built vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet in Q1 FY19.

GE Shipping to Buy L2R Product Carrier

The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has signed a contract to buy a second-hand L2R product carrier of about 105,000 dwt, the company said in a press statement. The company said that the 2009 built vessel is expected to join the company’s fleet in Q2/Q3 FY18. The Company’s current fleet stands at 46 vessels, comprising 30 tankers (12 crude carriers, 16 product tankers, 2 LPG carrier) and 16 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 7 Supramax) with an average age of 9.76 years aggregating 3.80 mn dwt. The Great Eastern Shipping Company is engaged in the business of providing shipping services. The company’s segments include shipping and offshore. The shipping business is involved in transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, gas and dry bulk commodities.

GE Shipping Buys New Vessel

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) signed a contract to buy a Supramax Dry Bulk Carrier of about 52,450 dwt. The 2006 built vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet in Q1 FY18. The Company’s current fleet stands at 43 vessels, comprising 28 tankers (11 crude carriers, 15 product tankers, 2 LPG carrier) and 15 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 6 Supramax) with an average age of 9.56 years aggregating 3.54 mn dwt. The company has also committed to purchase 1 Secondhand Suezmax Crude Carrier. The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited is engaged in the business of providing shipping services. GE Shipping Contracts to Buy 2 Suezmax Crude Carriers

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) has signed contracts to buy 2 Suezmax crude Carriers of about 157,000dwt each. The 2010 and 2011 built vessels are expected to join the company's fleet in Q4 FY17. Last week, the company had inked a pact to buy another Suezmax Crude Carrier of about 1,50,000 dwt. The Company’s current fleet stands at 38 vessels, comprising 24 tankers (7 crude carriers, 15 product tankers, 2 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 7 Kamsarmaxes, 6 Supramaxes) with an average age of 9.89 years aggregating 2.94 mn dwt. Additionally, the company has 2 Secondhand Aframaxes, 1 Secondhand Suezmax & 1 Newbuilding Kamsarmax on order. After delivery of these 6 contracted vessels, the company will have a fleet of 44 vessels.

Great Eastern Shipping Q2 Profit Falls About 24 Pct

Great Eastern Shipping  (GES) Company posted a 23.9 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 268.7 crore ($40 million) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016, reports PTI. The company had posted a consolidated net profit after tax of Rs 353.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, Great Eastern Shipping said in a BSE filing. GE Shipping took a delivery of a Secondhand Capesize Dry Bulk Carrier (Year built: 2011) named “Jag Anand” of DWT 179250 MT on July 14, 2016. It took delivery of a newly built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier named “Jag Aalok” of DWT 82023 MT on July 29, 2016. GE Shipping Takes Delivery of a New Building Resale Kamsarmax

Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) took delivery of a new building resale Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier ‘Jag Aalok’ of about 82023 dwt. According to a report in the Livement,  the company had contracted to buy the ship in April 2016. The vessel has been built at Jiangsu New Yangzi shipbuilding Co. Ltd., P.R. China. Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange regarding a Press Release dated June 30, 2016 titled: G E Shipping takes delivery of a new building Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier "Jag Ajay". The vessel was ordered by GE Shipping in December 2013 and has been built at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., P.R. China. G E Shipping Takes Delivery of Bulker

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. (G E Shipping) took delivery of a new building Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier “Jag Aakash” (81,600 dwt). The vessel was ordered by GE Shipping in July 2013 and has been built at Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc., Philippines. The said vessel was contracted for sale in August 2015 and will be delivered to the new buyers this month. GE Shipping Q1 Net Up 45%

India's  largest domestic ship liner Great Eastern Shipping Company today reported a 45 percent jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 323.67 crore ($50 million) for the quarter ended June 30, on the back of higher income. Sales during April-June rose 17 percent to 947 crores versus 808.2 crores. GE Shipping's finance costs fell to 69.9 crore rupees compared with 75.3 crore rupees earlier. Segment wise, shipping sector contributed Rs 563.42 crore revenue while offshore sector contribution stood at Rs 497.44 crore. In June 2015, the company took delivery of a new building Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier “Jag Arnav”. The vessel of about 81,600 dwt was built at Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc., Philippines.

GE Shipping to Raise Funds via NCD

Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping), India’s largest private shipping company, is planning to raise up to Rs 500 crore ($79 million) through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis, says PTI. The company will seek its Board's approval "to offer or invite subscriptions for secured / unsecured redeemable non-convertible debentures, in one or more series / tranches, aggregating up to Rs 500 crores on private placement", it said in a Stock Exchange filing. The approval will be sought in the company’s annual general meeting scheduled on August 12 while the terms and conditions for raising the fund would be determined by the board.

Great Eastern Shipping to Sell Large Cargo Ship

India's largest private sector shipping firm Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. (GE Shipping) has signed a contract to sell a 1996-built capesize dry bulk carrier Jag Arjun by this March-end. "The vessel will be delivered to the buyers during the fourth quarter (January-March) of the current fiscal," the company said in a statement. Capesize dry bulk carriers, the largest cargo ships plying in international waters, are mainly used to transport coal, ores and other commodity material. The company’s current fleet stands at 30 vessels comprising 21 tankers (8 crude carriers 12 product tankers 1 LPG carriers) and 9 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize 3 Kamsarmax 5 Supramax) with an average age of 10 years aggregating 2.42 mn dwt.

G E Shipping Sells General Purpose Product Tanker

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. (G E Shipping) has signed a contract to sell the 1991-built General Purpose Product Tanker Jag Prachi (28,610 dwt). The vessel will be delivered to buyers in September-October, 2014. The company’s current fleet stands at 30 vessels, comprising 22 tankers (eight crude carriers, 12 product tankers and two LPG carriers) and eight dry bulk carriers (one Capesize, three Kamsarmax and four Supramax) with an average age of 10 years aggregating 2.42 mn dwt. Last month, the company signed a contract to sell one of its two gas carriers. The vessel is scheduled for delivery to buyers in H2 2014. GE Shipping to Buy Bulk Carriers

Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd (GE Shipping) informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has contracted to buy two new building Kamsarmax dry bulk carriers, according to a report on http://sify.com. The 80,700 dwt vessels are expected to join the company’s fleet during the fourth quarter of 2010-11 and the first quarter of 2011-12, respectively. GE Shipping to Sell Aframax Crude Carrier

GE Shipping has signed a contact to sell its 1986 built Aframax tanker Jag Leher. This Korean built ship of 107,592 dwt was acquired in November 2003. The ship is scheduled for delivery to buyers in Q3 FY 2007-08. The decision to sell this ship is in line with the company's overall strategy of exiting from non-double hull tanker fleet. The rationale behind the purchase of this ship is to consolidate on the dry bulk segment and to participate in the increasing opportunities arising out of strong global commodity demand.
