EB Wins Sub Funds

Electric Boat Corp., a General Dynamics Co., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $6,320,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-96-C-2100) to exercise an option for SSN 777 on-board repair parts. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (55 percent) and Newport News, Va. (45 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Electric Boat Corp. Wins $5.7M Navy Contract

Electric Boat Corp. (a General Dynamics Co.), Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $5.7m modification under previously awarded contract to exercise an option for maintenance and operation of the government furnished drydock SHIPPINGPORT (ARDM-4). The contractor shall maintain Navy certification, protect, and operate the Navy floating dry dock, and shall accomplish organizational level repairs and preservation to the government furnished dry dock. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September 2008. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Bath Wins Navy Contract

Bath Iron Works Corp. (a General Dynamics Co.), Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $12,104,479 cost-plus-award-fee contract for lead yard services for the DDG 51 Class Destroyer Program. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by November 2010. Contract funds in the amount of $1,100,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity (N00024-06-C-2307).
