Fugro, US Army Corps of Engineers Ink Mapping Deal

Fugro has been awarded a photogrammetric and LIDAR surveying and mapping contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, Missouri. The agreement is a five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a ceiling value of $12.5 million. Envitia to Deliver First Phase of DSG Program

ENVITIA has been awarded a contract by Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services UK to deliver, in partnership, the first phase of the Defence Geospatial Services (DGS) program to the UK Ministry of Defence. UKHO Delivers Geospatial Intelligence to the MOD

The UKHO Defense Maritime Geospatial Services (DMarGS) capability has been launched on the UK MOD’s Defense Information Infrastructure (DII) and will be rolled out to users over the coming weeks. This capability delivers the full range of the UKHO’s Digital Defense Maritime Charts and other Maritime Geo Spatial Products and services to the wider UK MOD community in support of Situational Awareness and Mission Planning activities. The final step of achieving security accreditation for the service has now been completed and the system is up and running.

Canadian Radar Satellite Contract for MDA

MacDonald, Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. win Canadian Space Agency $706 million contract to build, launch & provide initial operations for the RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM). The RCM is designed for three main uses: maritime surveillance (ice, wind, oil pollution and ship monitoring); disaster management (mitigation, warning, response and recovery) and ecosystem monitoring (forestry, agriculture, wetlands and coastal change monitoring). The contract is expected to extend over a period of seven years and brings MDA’s current backlog to approximately $2.9 billion.
