Simrad Debuts New 27” HD Monitor

The new Simrad M5027 optically bonded HD monitor for the commercial marine market is a 27” marine monitor designed to meet the color calibration requirements of ECDIS systems and the size requirements of 320mm CAT1 radar systems. According to the manufacturer, the Simrad M5027 monitor is built for long term, reliable operation with an optical bonded LCD as standard. Optical bonded displays eliminate the “air gap” issues of condensation, overheating and contamination common in lesser quality displays.

Burger Books Brisk Business to End Year

Burger Boat Company announced the signing of the contract to build a 150-ft. (46 meter) Tri-Deck, motor yacht dubbed. Time for Us. This is the largest, most comprehensive yacht design and construction project in the Company's 141-year history. John Munford of the UK., is the interior designer. Patton Marine has developed the comprehensive specifications and will provide project management. Vripack of the Netherlands is co-engineering the yacht along with the Burger Design Team who has developed the interior layout as well as the exterior styling. Time for Us will be ABS certified, fully MCA compliant and will be available to charter in various unique cruising areas of the world. Time for Us will have handicap accessibility featuring a four-level elevator.

Burger Boat Launches Areti I

The Burger Boat Company launched Areti I on September 9, 2007. Areti I is the first of two identical 127-ft. (38.7m) tri-deck yachts to be launched this year, with Areti II set to launch later this fall. The identical yachts are owned by a young Russian industrialist who has chosen to build two identical yachts due to business interests that divide his time almost equally between Russia/Europe and the U.S. This will give him constant access to his yachts in both regions to enjoy quiet family time and to entertain business associates. The Areti exteriors are classically styled and the interiors are traditionally designed with recessed paneled Makoré and wonderful fluted column details throughout.
