Marine Lubricant Choice 'More Critical than Ever'

Teekay Joins SRTI

Teekay Shipping Corporation, the global marine energy transportation, storage & production company, has signed up to the Ship Recycling Transparency Initiative (SRTI).The Canadian shipowner thus  joined A.P. SEA\LNG Voices Support for MEPC 73 Outcomes

IMUA Names Award-winning Marine Underwriter

Gina Domitrovich, AMIM, Senior Marine Underwriter, AIG Global Marine & Energy, is the first recipient of the new American Marine Claims Award, by Inland Marine Underwriters Association’s (IMUA). Offshore Wind Farm Cable Landed Off Coast of Wales

Global Marine Energy lands first export cable from 'Cable Enterprise' at Gwynt y Môr 576 MW offshore wind farm. The cable was landed by GME’s recently launched vessel, Cable Enterprise, and is the first of four export cables to be installed at the project site. Each of the export cables are between 18km and 22km in length linking the north coast of Wales to the offshore wind farm in Liverpool Bay. Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm is one of the largest currently in construction in Europe and is being built by RWE npower renewables.

The cable maintenance agreement is designed to ensure that the transmission link is inspected and maintained properly over its service life. •        A framework agreement for cable related incidents, such as repairs, surveys and re-burial activities. •        The selection of Global Marine Energy as the preferred subsea cable repair contractor. •        The production of a set of agreed procedures to cover submarine cable related incidents at the Ormonde site. A leader in the Offshore Transmission Regime (OFTO), Transmission Capital Partners was selected by Ofgem in 2010 to run the transmission link for the 150 MW Ormonde offshore windfarm off the Cumbrian coast.

LINCS Offshore Wind Farm Cable Installed

Centrica Renewables Energy has confirmed that Global Marine Energy., the independent provider of subsea power cable installation, maintenance and related engineering services worldwide, has successfully completed its portion of the cable landing and near shore cable works related to the export cable at the LINCS Offshore wind farm. Global Marine Energy installed the approximately 8km of 132 kV subsea power cable utilising the cable barge Nautilus Maxi which had been modified to meet the unique requirements of the project. The LINCS offshore wind farm is located off the east coast of the United Kingdom is a joint venture between Centrica (50%) DONG Energy and Siemens Project Ventures.
