Cyber risk has hit a critical peak within the maritime industry, and the significant impact of the Petya ransomware attack on scores of maritime entities only amplifies it. The attack effectively shut down major ocean carriers, including shipping conglomerate Maersk, and impacted marine terminal operations across the globe. Gnostech President Takes Controlling Ownership
Current president of Gnostech Inc., James Espino, has acquired the controlling ownership of the company from Braxton Science & Technology Group (BSTG) on May 19, 2017. As the president and controlling owner of Gnostech, Espino will lead the company into the future. “This is an exciting time for Gnostech. We can pursue new and emerging government contracting opportunities that leverage our diverse range of capabilities,” he said. Prior to joining the company, Espino served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard for over 20 years.
Lockheed Selected for C4ISR Systems Lifecycle Support Services
Lockheed Martin has been awarded a indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus fixed fee contract by the U.S. Navy Space and , (SSC-SD) for C4ISR Systems Lifecycle Support Services. The period of performance is a three-year base period worth up to $59m. Two additional award term periods raise the potential value to $189m. Under this new contract, Lockheed Martin will provide a range of C4ISR System Lifecycle Support Services to the SSC-SD C4ISR Programs office located in . Specific efforts will include logistics planning, configuration management, system integration, system installations, technical documentation, training development, training, 24/7 customer support center, and technical field support.
USN Awards 391 Contractors
The U.S. Navy is awarding indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contracts to 391 contractors that will provide for their competition for service requirements solicited by Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps.
