GEOS Lands Contracts for Two PSVs with Oil Major

Norwegian vessel owner Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has entered into contracts for two of its platform supply vessels (PSVs) – Energy Passion and Energy Paradise.The contract is with ‘Tier 1 international oil major’ whose name was not disclosed, with the operations planned to take place in the North Sea.The contract for the 2016-built Energy Passion PSV is for one-year firm, with one-year option.The Energy Paradise PSV, built in 2015, has been hired for six months firm and six months option.The gross contract value for the firm period is $14 million…

Vroon Offloads 30 Offshore Service Vessels to Britoil

Britoil Offshore Services said this week it had acquired 30 offshore service vessels and supporting offices in Singapore from Dutch shipping firm Vroon."The acquisition will see an expansion of Britoil’s operating footprint into the Mediterranean, the North Sea and Asia Pacific. The operations will also synergise in the Middle East and Africa," Britoil said.The 30 vessels and supporting offices were part of Vroon’s offshore services business. Earlier this year, Vroon announced it would sell these vessels as part of a strategic reorientation.

GEOS to Sell VOS Sugar Offshore Vessel at 'Substantial Profit'

The Norwegian offshore vessel owner Golden Energy Offshore Services AS (“GEOS”) said Wednedsay it had entered into a memorandum of agreement (the “MoA”) with an undisclosed buyer for the sale of the subsea support vessel VOS Sugar.The VOS Sugar is one of the Vroon Offshore vessels GEOS agreed to buy last month, a purchase which is in the process of completing. The MoA is subject to satisfactory vessel inspection by the buyer. Provided that the subject is lifted, the sale is expected to be completed in November 2023. Norwegian Firm Agrees to Buy Five Vroon Offshore Vessels for $94M

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has entered into a binding Memorandum of Agreement for the acquisition of four platform supply vessels and one subsea support vessel from subsidiaries of Vroon Holding B.V. for a total consideration of $94 million.Dutch vessel owner Vroon earlier this year completed the implementation of the financial restructuring for the “new” Vroon focusing on specialized fleet of deepsea vessels (livestock carriers, product tankers, and high-heat tankers) and emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRV). GEOS Secures Two-month Contract Extension for PSV in Norway

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Golden Energy Offshore Services AS (GEOS) has secured a contract extension with Repsol for its Energy Swan platform supply vessel in Norway.The contract is a direct continuation of the current charter contract from 2021.The large PSV Energy Swan was chartered in 2021 for a firm period of one year, plus another optional year.Since the expiration of the firm period, the two companies have agreed to several extensions, with this latest being for two more months, until November  1, 2023. Financial details of the latest extension were not disclosed.The are no more options available for Repsol Norge AS after November 1, 2023. The 2005-built Energy Swan is a ST 216 design large PSV / pipe carrier.

Repsol Extends Energy Swan PSV Charter

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Golden Energy Offshore Services AS (GEOS) has secured a contract extension with Repsol for its Enegy Swan platform supply vessel.The contract extension is in direct continuation of the current charter contract which started in 2021 when the large platform supplier was chartered. The extension kicks off in early July and will run until September 1, 2023.Repsol Norge will have an option to extend the charter further.The 2005-built Energy Swan vessel is of ST 216 design and is a large PSV / pipe carrier.

GEOS Wins UK, Norway Contracts for Energy Duchess Offshore Vessel

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Golden Energy Offshore Services AS (GEOS) has secured bring to work (B2W) contract for its offshore vessel  Energy Duchess and a medium-term contract in direct continuation.The 83.4-meter vessel of Ulstein PX121 design will be mobilized with a Z-Bridge Bring to Work system (B2W), and its role will be to accommodate and bring technicians and equipment to offshore work locations. Several of the vessel's MPSV capacities and capabilities will be utilized throughout, GEOS said.According to GEOS, the job is up to 14 days in duration, and mobilization in Rotterdam will start next week after the completion of its current spot job. GEOS website info shows the vessel is currently working for EnQuest Heather Ltd. on a contract set to expire on March 20.

Norwegian offshore vessel operator Golden Energy Offshore has signed a letter of intent with Gen2 Energy to explore the use and availability of hydrogen-based fuel on vessels in its fleet."We hope that Golden Energy Offshore and Gen2 Energy together can find zero-emissions solutions that are attractive to our customers and capable of being implemented both on existing vessels in the fleet and newbuilds. GEO Installs Ulstein Blue Box in 2 Vessels

GEO's Twin PSVs Named in Norway

Norwegian offshore supply vessel provider Golden Energy Offshore (GEO) named two platform supply vessels (PSVs).The company's CEO Per Ivar Fagervoll said that the sister vessels Energy Empress and Energy Duchess were named on 29 June 2019. The naming ceremony was held on board the Energy Empress beneath the Seven Sisters waterfall in the Geiranger fjord.The vessels have been built at the Nantong Rainbow Offshore & Engineering Equipments Co., Ltd (ROC) yard, China.The platform supply vessels have been designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS and are based on Ulstein’s PX121 design. Wintershall Extends PSV Charter

Norwegian shipowner Golden Energy Offshore Services AS (GEOS) said on Tuesday it has secured a contract extension with Wintershall Norge AS for the large platform supply vessel (PSV) Energy Swan.The contract is in direct continuation of a charter contract from 2013. The 2005-built PSV was chartered for a firm period of four years, plus options totaling up to four additional years.Wintershall Norge and GEOS agreed to several extensions after expiration of the firm period, the latest with a firm period to December 31, 2018.The parties have now agreed that the vessel will remain firm on charter through April 30, 2019, with options to extend until November 30, 2021.

Wintershall Norge Extends Contract with Energy Swan

Norwegian OSV operator Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has been awarded a contract extension by Wintershall Norge for 2005-built platform supply vessel Energy Swan.A press release from GEOS confirmed that a contract extension has been secured with Wintershall Norge AS.The contract is in direct continuation of the charter contract from 2013. The large PSV Energy Swan was in 2013 chartered for a firm period of 4 years + optional (total of 4 years options).Wintershall Norge AS and GEOS agreed after expiration of the firm period a 6 months charter extension and later announced another extension of 3 months.The parties have now agreed that the vessel will remain firm on charter till 31 December 2018.

Rolls-Royce Launches Energy Management System

Rolls-Royce has launched the next generation of its Energy Management (EM) System. The system will allow customers to reduce energy usage, fuel consumption and operating costs whilst supporting environmental compliance and providing performance information that enables the ship to comply with SEEMP rules and IMO regulations. The Energy Management System offers customers a more data-driven performance management and decision making approach. This will give an enhanced ability to monitor the performance of an individual vessel or a fleet.

Optimarin Demonstrates Total System Reliability

Environmentally friendly and compliant BWT technology company  Optimarin gave a demonstration of its long-term system reliability onboard Neptune Subsea’s IMR vessel Larissa in the same week that a report from ABS revealed problems with almost half of installed ballast water treatment (BWT) systems. Optimarin has installed more than 300 of its systems worldwide, with over 500 units ordered. The 334 m3 capacity system onboard the SX130 Ulstein design Larissa was one of the first, installed during its construction by Zhejiang Shipbuilding in 2010. Total Extends Energy Scout PSV Contract

Norwegian shipowner Golden Energy Offshore Services has been awarded a contract extension for one of its platform supply vessels with Total in Nigeria.    The company announced end of June 2017 to have entered into a contract with Total E&P Nigeria for the PSV Energy Scout - for a firm period of 3 months + optional periods of 3 months each.   The Company announced extension end of September 2017.   Energy Scout contract is now further extended in Direct continuation present firm contract and vessel now firm until 1st April 2018 + optional periods of 3 months each thereafter.   The vessel has been working for Total in Africa for quite some time now, with the last four charters coming from Total E&P Nigeria, Total E&P Angola, and Total E&P Congo for general supply duties.
