GE Shipping Adds VLGC Jag Vasant to its Fleet

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) took delivery of secondhand Very Large Gas Carrier "Jag Vasant" of about 83,270 cbm. The company had contracted to buy the vessel in Q2 FY19.The Company's current fleet stands at 49 vessels, comprising 35 tankers (12 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, 6 LPG carrier) and 14 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 5 Supramax) with an average age of 10.90 years aggregating 3.98 mn dwt.The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited is India's largest private sector shipping company which mainly transports liquid, gas and solid bulk products. The company has two main business, shipping and offshore.The shipping business is involved in transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, gas and dry bulk commodities.

G E Shipping Sells Supramax

India’s largest private sector shipping company  Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has contracted to sell its 2003 built Supramax Dry Bulk Carrier Jag Rahul of about 52,364 dwt. G E Shipping said that the vessel will be delivered to the new buyer in Q4 FY 2017-18. The Company’s current fleet (including Jag Rahul) stands at 48 vessels, comprising 32 tankers (12crude carriers, 17 product tankers, 3 LPG carrier) and 16 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 7 Supramax) with an average age of 10.24 years aggregating 3.93 mn dwt. G E Shipping has two main business : shipping and offshore. The shipping business is involved in transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, gas and dry bulk commodities.

Great Eastern Shipping Q2 Profit Falls About 24 Pct

Great Eastern Shipping  (GES) Company posted a 23.9 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 268.7 crore ($40 million) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016, reports PTI. The company had posted a consolidated net profit after tax of Rs 353.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, Great Eastern Shipping said in a BSE filing. GE Shipping took a delivery of a Secondhand Capesize Dry Bulk Carrier (Year built: 2011) named “Jag Anand” of DWT 179250 MT on July 14, 2016. It took delivery of a newly built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier named “Jag Aalok” of DWT 82023 MT on July 29, 2016. GE Shipping Q1 Net Up 45%

India's  largest domestic ship liner Great Eastern Shipping Company today reported a 45 percent jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 323.67 crore ($50 million) for the quarter ended June 30, on the back of higher income. Sales during April-June rose 17 percent to 947 crores versus 808.2 crores. GE Shipping's finance costs fell to 69.9 crore rupees compared with 75.3 crore rupees earlier. Segment wise, shipping sector contributed Rs 563.42 crore revenue while offshore sector contribution stood at Rs 497.44 crore. In June 2015, the company took delivery of a new building Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier “Jag Arnav”. The vessel of about 81,600 dwt was built at Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc., Philippines.

Greatship Sells AHTS Vessel

Indian shipping company Great Eastern Shipping has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Greatship, has sold and delivered anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Greatship Akhila (7,080 bhp, built 2009) to unnamed buyers. "Greatship (India) Ltd (GIL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd, has sold and delivered the 2009-built 80T Anchor Handling Tug cum supply vessel 'Greatship Akhila', to the buyers," the company said in a filing to BSE. However, it did not specify the buyers.

Great Eastern Shipping to Sell Large Cargo Ship

India's largest private sector shipping firm Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. (GE Shipping) has signed a contract to sell a 1996-built capesize dry bulk carrier Jag Arjun by this March-end. "The vessel will be delivered to the buyers during the fourth quarter (January-March) of the current fiscal," the company said in a statement. Capesize dry bulk carriers, the largest cargo ships plying in international waters, are mainly used to transport coal, ores and other commodity material. The company’s current fleet stands at 30 vessels comprising 21 tankers (8 crude carriers 12 product tankers 1 LPG carriers) and 9 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize 3 Kamsarmax 5 Supramax) with an average age of 10 years aggregating 2.42 mn dwt.

Greatship to Buy PSV

Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited, has signed a contract to buy a 2015-built 4000 dwt Platform Supply Vessel (PSV). The vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet during Q4FY2015. GIL and its subsidiaries currently own and operate four PSVs, nine AHTSVs, two MPSSVs, six ROVSVs and three Jack up rigs and have one mobile offshore self-elevating jack up rig under construction in UAE.

Greatship’s subsidiary takes delivery of a mobile offshore self elevating drilling rig, Le Tourneau Super 116(E) – ‘Greatdrill Chaaya’. Greatship Global Energy Services Pte. Ltd., a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited has taken delivery of a mobile offshore self elevating drilling rig, Le Tourneau Super 116(E) – ‘Greatdrill Chaaya’ from Lamprell Energy Ltd., UAE. Greatdrill Chaaya is an independent Leg Cantilever type Jack up rig with 15000 PSI pressure rating, designed to operate in water depths of up to 350 feet. She is a state of the art cyber rig, built with the latest technology, equipments and systems.

(GGOS), a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited has taken delivery of a Platform/ROV  Support Vessel, GREATSHIP RAGINI, from Colombo Dockyard Plc, Sri Lanka. Greatship Ragini is a DP2 vessel, capable of supporting offshore exploration and production and has been built complying with the SPS Code 2008. With the delivery of Greatship Ragini, GIL and its subsidiaries currently own and operate four PSVs, nine AHTSVs, two MPSSVs, six ROVSVs, two jack up rigs and have one 350 feet jack up rig under construction in UAE.

Singapore's Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte. Ltd. takes delivery of the vessel from Colombo Dockyard, Sri Lnaka. Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte. Ltd. (GGOS), a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited has taken delivery of a Platform/ROV  Support Vessel, Greatship Ragini. Greatship Ragini is a DP2 vessel, capable of supporting offshore exploration and production and has been built complying with the SPS Code 2008. Great Eastern Company cancels Ship Order

According to a report on www.myiris.com, Greatship Global Offshore Services (GGOS), a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of the company`s subsidiary - Greatship (India) (GIL), had signed contracts for two new building multipurpose support vessels (Builder`s Yard No. 26775 and 26784) with Mazagon Dock, Mumbai in September 2007. GGOS has now cancelled the shipbuilding contract for one of these multipurpose support vessels, with Builder`s. Yard No. 26784. With this cancellation, the order book of GIL and its subsidiaries stands at six vessels and one 350 feet jack up rig in Dubai. Greatship Group Names “Greatship Rohini”

Today (9.02.2011) for the first time in the history of local shipbuilding industry, Colombo Dockyard named a vessel which will be charted by the owner Greatship Group, for the world renowned Brazilian Oil Company PETROBRAS. Drydocks World Delivers 5 Vessels

Drydocks World – Southeast Asia Pte. Limited (DDW-SEA), the Southeast Asian subsidiary of Drydocks World, announced the deliveries of vessels Endeavor, Greatship Ahalya, Mermaid Vision and Ark Dartmoor from their Drydocks World – Nanindah yard and Armada Tuah 104 from their Drydocks World – Pertama yard. The Endeavor, a fully pneumatic self discharge cement carrier designed by Shiptech Pte. Ltd. was delivered to Endeavor S.N.C., a subsidiary of Setaf Saget of France, a company of the Bourbon Group.

CDP Gets Six Shipbuilding Orders

According to www.dailynews.lk, Colombo Dockyards Plc (CDP) was able to secure six shipbuilding orders Greatship (India) Limited worth over US $110 million following the building of its largest anchor handling tug supply vessel to the company, yesterday. CDP which has undertaken 33 per cent of shipbuilding work of Greatship India conforms to all international ship building standards. This is the first of an order for two anchor handling tug supply vessels ordered by the company and will have further repeat orders is the first time that CDP built such a large vessel and this would be a stepping stone to go for major ship building activities by the company to compete with other international companies.

CDL to Launch Tugboat

Colombo Dockyards Limited’s (CDL) launch of the Anchor Handling Tug a boat, built for Great Ship (India), is scheduled to take place next week, reported the Daily News. CDL had invested much resources to modernize the previous repair dock No. 2 to a shipbuilding dock with increased tonnage and widening of the entrance to handle beamer ships, which is at the Colombo Port. This is the first of the two Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTSV) with a 80 Ton Bollard Pull capacity for Greatship (India) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of one of India’s largest private sector shipping companies, the Great Eastern Shipping Company, who are in the business of providing offshore oil field services catering to the oil and gas E&P domain.

GE Shipping Unit Orders AHTS

Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd. said on Monday its subsidiary had signed a contract to buy two vessels from Sri Lanka's Colombo Dockyard Ltd. Aker Yards to Build PSVs for Greatship Limited

Greatship (India) Limited, wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited, Mumbai India, has confirmed an agreement with Aker Yards, for the building of two Platform Supply Vessels of UT 755 LN type. Delivery is scheduled for July and October 2008.
