Hunter Group Signs Charter for Eco-Design VLCC

DOF Secures Three Service Contracts with Petrobras Worth Over $260M

Norwegian offshore support vessel firm DOF said Monday it had won three new service contracts with the Brazilian oil firm Petrobras."The contracts were originated by a competitive bid process won by DOF and include work within our core service lines for Survey and Inspection," DOF said.These contracts represent a continuation of the services handled by DOF on the PIDF123 contracts signed with Petrobras in 2020 and under operation since December of that year.According to DOF, at least three vessels will be deployed to perform flexible pipeline, risers, and subsea equipment inspection in Campos Basin, Santos Basin, and Espírito Santos Basin. More than 3,200 inspections are expected to be executed.DOF did not say which vessel exactly would be deployed for these projects.

Tidewater Orders NES Battery Package for PSV

Tidewater, one of the world's largest owners of offshore support vessels, will upgrade one of its platform supply vessels (PSV) North Pomor with a new battery package.Norway-based Norwegian Electric Systems AS (NES), a subsidiary of HAV Group ASA, announced it will provide the battery package and associated control system for battery charging for the retrofit project. Endúr Nets Deal to Maintain 60 Ferry Quays in Vestland, Norway

Norwegian firm Endúr said this week its subsidiary BMO Entreprenør has won a large ferry quay contract with Vestland county in Western Norway. The contract has a value of NOK 40 million (USD 4.44 million).Endúr, a company with activities within aquaculture, marine infrastructure, maritime services and energy, announced the acquisition of BMO Entreprenør in October. MMC Green Technology AS will be renamed Norwegian Greentech AS.In connection with the sale of MMC First Process, it was agreed that MMC Green Technology would change its name. The new name is Norwegian Greentech AS, and Havyard Group ASA is the company's majority owner with 77.78% of the shares. MacGregor Completes TTS Acquisition

Finnish cargo-handling machinery giant Cargotec announced that its unit MacGregor, which provides solutions and services for handling marine cargoes, has completed the acquisition of the marine and offshore businesses of TTS Group ASA."MacGregor business area has completed the acquisition of the marine and offshore businesses of TTS Group ASA. MacGregor Cleared to Buy TTS Unit

Marine and offshore equipment and services form MacGregor announced on Monday it has received a clearance decision from the Chinese competition regulator, SAMR, for the company’s acquisition of the marine and offshore businesses of TTS Group ASA. MacGregor's TTS Acquisition Delayed

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, announced on February 8, 2018 that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the marine and offshore businesses of TTS Group ASA.The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals from the competition authorities in Germany, South Korea and China. MacGregor announced the approval from the German regulator on November 6, 2018 and the approval from the South Korean regulator on 27 December 2018.MacGregor announced in December that it expected to receive approval from the competition authority in China and close the transaction during Q1 2019. Due to a longer than expected regulatory process in China, the company currently expects closing of the transaction to take place in Q2 2019.

VLCC Market Remains Strong in Q1: Hunter

SunStone's Greg Mortimer Launched in China

The launching ceremony of the ‘Greg Mortimer’, the first polar expedition cruise vessel in SunStone Ships’ INFINITY series, was held in the morning of 12 March at the CMHI yard, China.The steel cutting ceremony of ship number three in the series was also arranged yesterday, said a press release from Ulstein Group ASA, Norway based ship designer.The cruise operator, Aurora Expeditions, has chartered the vessel, and named her after their founder, Greg Mortimer, who also attended yesterday’s launch ceremony.According to Xianpu Hu, managing director at China Merchants Industry Group, the construction of vessel number 1 started on 16 March 2018, less than one year ago.

TTS Group Bags Hurtigruten Contract

Norway-based TTS Group ASA, a global provider of handling solutions and access systems and services for the marine and offshore industries, has been awarded a contract for sideloading systems for Norway-based expedition cruise operator Hurtigruten.TTS Group has also won a contract for ships equipment to another buyer.
