Gryphon Technologies, LC, has been awarded a competitively bid $337m contract by the U.S. Navy to provide expert professional engineering services to the Naval Sea Systems Command Engineering Directorate. Gryphon will provide technical and engineering support in the areas of advanced ship and vehicle concept development, future fleet force concepts, ship design standards, new-construction concepts, naval architecture, marine engineering, systems engineering and other lifecycle support for surface ships, aircraft carriers and submarines. Gryphon Tech Wins $34m Navy Deal
Gryphon Technologies, LC, Greenbelt, Md., is being awarded a $34,189,962 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contract for engineering, technical analysis, and support services in connection with assigned tasks for Navy Ship Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E)/Combat Support Systems over a five year ordering period. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (54 percent); Pascagoula, Miss. (15 percent);Bath, Maine (7 percent); Washington D.C. (6 percent); Norfolk, Va. (6 percent); San Diego, Calif. (3 percent); Everett, Wash. (3 percent); Mayport, Fla. (3 percent); and Yokosuka, Japan (3 percent), and work is expected to be completed by January 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Lockheed Martin Wins $17.4M Contract
Lockheed Martin Corp. won a $17.4 million contract from the Navy to support a program that oversees all technical products for submarine combat systems. Under the contract, Lockheed Martin of Bethesda, Md., will handle systems engineering, testing, integration and maintenance for Navy submarine combat systems, as well as new Virginia Class submarines. The contract, which is funded for the first year, includes options for up to 10 years.
