Matrix PDM Signs Licensing Deal with GTT

GTT's Houston-based US subsidiary, GTT North America (GTT NA), has signed a license agreement with the American engineering company Matrix PDM Engineering. The agreement was signed at the Matrix Service Company headquarters in Tulsa, OK, in the presence of John Hewitt – Matrix Service Company CEO, Joe Montalbano – Matrix Service Company COO and Matrix PDM Engineering President; and Aziz Bamik – General Manager, GTT NA. The license grants Matrix PDM Engineering the right to implement GTT’s patents to construct onshore storage tanks for LNG (liquefied natural gas), LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) and other liquefied gases through affiliated Matrix construction companies.

TOTE LNG Bunker Barge : Crew Training Program

GTT subsidiaries, GTT North America, Inc. and GTT Training Ltd, announce the award of the first contract of its kind for the development and implementation of a comprehensive LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) training program for the 2,200 m3 LNG Bunker Barge currently under construction at Conrad Industries Shipyard in Orange, TX, following the order received by GTT North America from Conrad Industries in February 2015. ABS to Class US' First LNG Bunker Barge

ABS has been selected to class an LNG bunker barge under construction at Conrad Orange Shipyard, Inc, a division of Conrad Shipyard, LLC, for WesPac Midstream LLC and Clean Marine Energy LLC (CME), the classification society announced. The 2,200 cu m barge is scheduled for delivery in mid-2016 and will initially be deployed in Tacoma, Wash., to service shipowner Totem Ocean Trailer Express’s (Totem Ocean) Orca Class ro-ro vessels. The unit will then be relocated to Jacksonville, Fla., to serve parent company TOTE’s Marlin Class dual-fuel container vessels and other LNG-powered vessels in the Port of Jacksonville. Designed by Bristol Harbor Group Inc, the barge features a single tank equipped with the Mark III Flex cargo containment system supplied by GTT North America.

Conrad Shipyard Bags LNG Order

Energy infrastructure and LNG solutions provider WesPac Midstream and its subsidiary Clean Marine Energy (CME) have awarded a contract to Conrad Orange Shipyard for the construction of a dedicated LNG bunker barge for the marine market in North America. The bunker barge, which is scheduled to be delivered in early 2016, will service ship owner Totem Ocean’s Orca Class roro vessel in Tacoma, Washington. The barge is then expected to head to Jacksonville, Florida to serve new build marlin class container vessels and other LNG-powered vessels in the Port of Jacksonville. The vessel is part of WesPac's and its affiliate, Clean Marine Energy’s strategy to provide integrated LNG solutions for engine conversion, infrastructure, supply and delivery logistics to the shipping industry.

GTT, Conrad Shipyard Ink Deal for LNG Barges and Bunker Tanks

Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) announced that its U.S. subsidiary, GTT North America, has signed a Technical Assistance and License Agreement (TALA) with U.S. shipbuilder Conrad Shipyard for the design and construction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) barges and LNG-fueled vessel bunker tanks using GTT's membrane containment systems. Conrad Shipyard received its approval after completing the qualification process including dedicated training of its employees by GTT and the fabrication of a membrane tank model. US Shipyard to Produce GTT's LNG Membrane Tanks

Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT), a designer of membrane containment systems for the maritime transportation and storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG), via its U.S. subsidiary GTT North America, announced the signing of an agreement with Conrad Shipyard for the future production of LNG membrane tanks using GTT's technology. The signing of an agreement initiates the process of training and preparing Conrad Shipyard, a major U.S. shipbuilder, to offer GTT's membrane containment technologies for LNG storage, transportation and fuel tanks. The training process will include the construction of a membrane tank model to exhibit Conrad Shipyard's manufacturing and installation expertise.
