Hallin Marine Completes Unique FPSO Contract

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services company, says it has completed a unique project for COOEC Subsea Technology, a wholly-own subsidiary of COOEC (China Offshore Oil Engineering Company) which  involved the replacement of 9 mooring lines beneath the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel HYSY111, while maintaining live operations. The oil and gas industry has previously witnessed the replacement of a single damaged mooring line replacement under such conditions; however this is the first time all FPSO mooring lines have been replaced as one continuous activity. The entire task was completed ahead of schedule without shutting down production on the facility, and with zero lost-time injury.

NCS Survey Wins Multi-Year Contract with Aker

NCS Survey, an Acteon company, has been awarded a five-year contract with AKOFS Wayfarer AS, a Norwegian marine contractor, for the supply of positioning and survey services aboard the Aker Wayfarer. Hallin Marine's Windermere Active in Indonesia

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services company, has announced that its SOV Windermere subsea operations vessel is providing offshore support services in the Maleo gas field off Madura, East Java. Operating on behalf of a major Indonesian oil company, the Windermere is engaged in a wide range of testing and platform support operations. These include repair and maintenance of subsea gussets, underwater welding of gusset plates and grouting work on mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) legs. A central element of the project is the Windermere's integral 15-man saturating diving facility.

STX Marine is pleased to report the launching of Hallin Marine’s Compact Semi-Submersible, CSS Derwent. The event took place at Drydocks World Nanindah’s yard in Batam, Indonesia. The CSS Derwent was launched on 5 June 2012 and has an expected delivery at the end of 2012. The CSS concept has been developed by STX Marine, in partnership with Hallin Marine; Minnow Marine Projects Limited and M3 Marine, over a five year period to capture the capabilities and low-motion behavior of a semi-submersible vessel in the smallest form feasible, giving an industry-leading design in terms of operability.

SeaHold GEOSHIPS expanded its fleet of multi-purpose offshore vessels. New MD for Hallin’s West Division

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services Company, has appointed a new managing director for its West Division as it grows the capability and assets of its Aberdeen-based operation. Hallin has promoted Giovanni Corbetta to the Managing Director’s role after he distinguished himself as the division’s projects director. Giovanni has strong, industry-wide experience and is considered ideal to lead Hallin’s expansion in the region as it continues its growth from ROV operations to an integrated subsea contractor. Hallin’s West Division has successfully operated a large fleet of ROV vehicles in the northern hemisphere and is emulating the success of the company’s Singapore-based East Division as it adds specialist DP2 vessels, saturation and air diving and engineering to its offering.

Hallin Dedicates ROV Support Vessel

Hallin Marine expanded its fleet of offshore support vessels with Kendal, a multipurpose subsea vessel, with both ROV and Air Diving capability installed departs for her first project with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) in Indonesia, this coming Saturday after the naming ceremony. PHE ONWJ, as her first customer, has engaged the vessel for a 3 month IRM campaign in North Java. For this work, the vessel has been equipped with two TMS  inspection class ROV’s and is supported by the project team from the Hallin office in Jakarta.

Hallin Marine Undertakes IRM Project

Hallin Marine has commenced a large-scale inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) project off the Malaysian peninsula. The contract centers on the oil rig Cendor MOPU which is undergoing an American Bureau of Shipping UWILD underwater survey for a second year in succession. Hallin is providing saturation diving, cleaning, inspection and reporting services. "Demand for marine-support services in Malaysia is steadily increasing," said Rik Zwinkels, Managing Director, Hallin East Division.

Hallin Wins $25m ROV Contract

Hallin Marine Subsea International Ltd, a Superior Energy Services company, has won a $25 million, five-year contract to supply ROV services from Marine Subsea AS for the new build subsea intervention vessel Karianne. Under the terms of the contract, Hallin will supply two new Quantum XP 200hp work class ROVs and handling systems and the teams of operators and technicians to deploy and operate the vehicles. Hallin has ordered the ROVs from UK manufacturer SMD and the vehicles will use bespoke handling systems and hangers that will be built into the 120 metre, state of the art vessel. The 3,000 m rated, work class ROVs will give the Karianne great flexibility in its primary role as a subsea well intervention and construction support vessel in the deepwater regions across the globe.

Drydocks World Contract for Compact Semi-Sub

Drydocks World has won a contract to build a new state-of-the-art oil well intervention Compact Semi-Submersible (CSS) vessel, representing a third order from integrated energy industries service provider Hallin Marine. The vessel will cost a total of $110m. Designed by STX Canada Marine Inc, the diesel/electric CSS’s primary function is to facilitate repair and maintenance to an existing well, via chemical injection on braided lines, extending perforation tunnels and effectively maximizing and extending the productive life of the well.

Groundbreaking $110m, DP3 “CSS” Vessel Ordered

Hallin Marine has commissioned a new, $110m, groundbreaking semi-submersible, subsea operations vessel to be named the CSS Derwent. “The CSS (compact semi submersible) delivers big ship capability in a low cost package,” said John Giddens, Hallin’s CEO. “It will support the oil operators’ desire to improve production and reduce costs.” The 84 m CSS is the culmination of a five-year project designed to deliver ‘large boat capability’ at a price of a much smaller vessel with a primary focus on light well intervention.

Hallin Awarded $8M West Africa Project

Integrated subsea contractor Hallin Marine is mobilizing its vessel, Ullswater, after winning a saturation diving contract offshore Angola. The DP2 Ullswater, equipped with saturation and air diving systems, a Hallin C-ROV and all personnel, will repair a 16-inch pipeline and carry out inspections on various platforms. Operatec, an Angolan company, and Superior Energy Services have been performing diving services under a long term maintenance contract since mid 2009. The Ullswater saturation diving project is an extension of this ongoing maintenance contract.

Superior Energy Services Q1 2010 Results

Superior Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE:SPN) announced net income of $21.5 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.27 on revenue of $364.5 million for the first quarter of 2010, as compared with net income of $56.8 million, or $0.72 diluted earnings per share on revenue of $437.1 million for the first quarter of 2009. Terence Hall, Chairman and CEO of Superior, commented, "While our earnings are below year-ago levels, our financial and operational results are much improved from the fourth quarter of 2009, which is encouraging, especially since the first quarter is typically a seasonally weak period. The company also reaffirms its previously announced full-year 2010 earnings guidance of $1.50 to $1.70 earnings per share.

Hallin Expands Fleet

Integrated subsea contractor Hallin Marine has expanded its fleet with the purchase of the dynamically positioned (DP2) vessel the Penrith. Hallin already knows the 67 metre Penrith well, having operated the vessel since its launch in 2008 under a time charter from owners Seacor Marine. Hallin believes the purchase of the Penrith from Seacor for an undisclosed sum will ensure it has total control of the vessel and allow it to offer clients competitive vessel packages, including its range of air diving systems, remote operated vehicles (ROVs) and survey equipment.

Superior Energy Acquires Hallin Marine Subsea

Superior Energy Services, Inc. announced that it has entered into an Implementation Agreement with Hallin Marine Subsea International Plc (AIM: HMS), to acquire Hallin for a price of 233 pence in cash per Hallin share. The offer values Hallin's existing issued and to be issued fully diluted ordinary share capital at approximately 103.5 million pounds sterling (approximately $168.3m based upon an exchange rate of $1.626, at the close of business on December 10, 2009). Hallin Wins $6.5m Vessel Contract

Hallin Marine, the AIM quoted provider of subsea solutions to the oil and gas industry, announced it has signed a contract for the Hallin operated vessel the Sanko Angel with a major oil & gas operator. Under the terms of the contract the vessel will be providing offshore construction support to the client’s oil and gas platforms and subsea infrastructure. Hallin divers, engineers and technicians will operate saturation diving and Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) services from the Sanko Angel for part of the duration of the contract. The vessel will also provide accommodation support to the oil major’s offshore crew, utilizing much of the Sanko Angel’s personnel accommodation. The contract commences immediately and is scheduled to run well into the fourth quarter of 2009.

Huggins Appointed to IMCA Committee

Hallin Marine executive Ian Huggins has been voted onto the management committee of the International Marine Contractors Association by his industry peers.  Huggins will serve on the Remote Systems & ROV Division management committee for the Asia Pacific region. Huggins is the second Hallin executive to be serving on IMCA - Hallin's West Division managing director, , was appointed to the Europe and region of the same committee in 2007.

Hallin Charters Subsea Ops Vessel

Hallin Marine signed a three year charter on a new subsea operations vessel with Seacor Marine (Asia) Pte Ltd, part of Seacor Holdings Inc. Hallin will take delivery of the new build Seacor Penrith in the second quarter of 2008 and will use the vessel to support its diving and Remote Operated Vehicle operations.
