Willard Marine, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of mission-proven boats, has received an order to produce a 33-foot, fiberglass harbor patrol boat for the Oceanside Police Department in California based on the iconic “Crystaliner” boat design. The order from Oceanside Police Department marks the first Crystaliner to be purchased from Willard Marine since they acquired the licensing and manufacture rights from Crystaliner, which folded in 2012. Willard’s more contemporary Crystaliner design includes new electronic systems, upgraded hull construction and powerful firefighting features. With a length of 33 feet and beam over 10 feet, its large open deck space is ideal for search and rescue missions, law enforcement safety and firefighting operations.

SAFE Boats International (SAFE) recently began the delivery of a fleet of thirty-seven (37) 33-foot harbor security boats to the U.S. Navy as the new generation of the Force Protection-Medium (FP-M)  patrol craft. Based on the SAFE 330X Defender model, the FP-M is capable of speeds of up to 33+ knots, features state-of-the-art electronics such as thermal imaging, encrypted communications equipment, dual outboard engines, a unique hull design as well as SAFE’s  patented 100% foam collar system. Moose Boats, an aluminum boat manufacturer, delivers a M1-44’ catamaran to the US Park Police in New York Harbor. The M1-44’ all aluminum catamaran is powered by twin 600hp Cummins diesel engines coupled to twin Hamilton 322 water-jets with Hamilton Blue Arrow Controls and includes a second full upper station. The boat features an extra wide fully enclosed cabin complete with a mini-galley, large work station, dinette and three shock mitigating seats. The cuddy cabin offers a full size berth and head compartment.

Moose Boats, an aluminum boat manufacturer, has been awarded a contract from US Department of the Interior – US Park Police, for a M1-44 Patrol Boat. This is a 44-ft all aluminum catamaran powered by twin 600hp Cummins diesel engines coupled with twin Hamilton 322 water-jets. This vessel is designed to attain a top speed of 40 knots, cruise at approximately 30 knots and will be used for security patrol of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The Marine Patrol Unit acquired a 32-ft aluminum Cat from Moose Boats in the spring of 2003 and it has been in service in Jamaica Bay ever since.

Allied Shipbuilders of North Vancouver, B.C. delivered the new patrol vessel Takaya to Vancouver Port Authority (VPA) – its first new patrol vessel in 10 years. The vessel’s namesake is attributed to the First Nations people who inhabit Burrard Inlet. Designed by Robert Allan, Naval Architects of Vancouver, under the direction of Hans Muhlert, the new vessel is representative of an investment ensuring that the VPA is able to offer the utmost in services to its clients on an ongoing 24-hour a day basis. Equipped to handle the VPA’s normal duties of inspecting ships calling in the Port, as well as pollution response, the vessel will have search and rescue, and VIP harbor tour capacities.

The Savannah-Chatham Police Marine Patrol has taken delivery of a 27-ft. Workskiff Harbor Security boat. The boat, obtained through a federal grant from the Transportation Security Administration, will be used to patrol the abundance of waterways throughout Chatham County, including security duty along the Savannah River waterfront. The Marine Patrol regularly patrols the local waterways, working with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the United States Coast Guard, providing harbor enforcement and providing an extra layer of security for Savannah's busy port. Accordingly, the Marine Patrol investigates waterway and marine-related accidents and/or crimes. The unit also enforces all the safe-boating laws of the State of Georgia.

Seacraft Shipyard Corp., Amelia, La., recently delivered M/V Sea Holly, a 110 ft. live-aboard long range yacht, designed for extended excursions. The entire exterior of the vessel was faired and painted to a yacht-quality finish and the bottom of the vessel was coated with a high-performance anti-fouling paint. On the aft main deck are a flat bottom skiff and a vee bottom runabout, both of which are secured on removable boat cradles. The main deck cabin features a full service galley.
