Adm. James Steele Gracey, 17th USCG Commandant, Passes Away

Admiral James Steele Gracey, USCG (retired), 17th Commandant of the Coast Guard, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, in Falls Church, Va., at the age of 92.Born in Newton, Mass. in 1927, Adm. Gracey graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1949. Adm. Cahill Mystic Seaport Education & Outreach Director

Mystic Seaport has named Sarah Cahill its new director of museum education and outreach. She will begin June 7. Cahill will lead the Museum’s education department in the expansion of its public history educational programs. She will guide Mystic Seaport in its efforts to increase educational programs both on grounds and in schools, while placing significant focus on the strengthening of partnerships between the Museum and schools. Gardner Named VP at Oceaneering

Oceaneering International, Inc. has appointed Philip D. Gardner as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing. Effective April 1, 2004, Mr. Gardner will assume worldwide P&L responsibility for Oceaneering's products group, which includes Oceaneering Multiflex and Oceaneering Intervention Engineering. In addition, he will have worldwide functional oversight responsibility for Materials Management and Quality Assurance in the oilfield sector.
