At an extraordinary board meeting in Scania the board of Scania – excluding Martin Winterkorn, Hans Dieter Pötsch, Francisco J. Garcia Sanz, Leif Östling and Ferdinand K. New Scania Marine Engines Tier 3 EPA Compliant
The Scania Marine engine range for EPA Tier 3 is the latest edition to the Scania marine engine range, which includes enhanced environmental performance with increased power, and yet unchanged fuel consumption. Scania to Supply 24 V8 Diesels to Finland Navy
The Finnish Navy’s new high-speed Watercat M18 AMC landing craft are to be fitted with twin 16-litre V8 engines from Scania. Built and designed by Marine Alutech the new landing craft displace 29 tonnes, and are 19.3 metres in length. They are designed for a broad range of applications such as troop and medical emergency transportation, evacuation tasks and landing operations. The Watercat is powered by two Scania engines, developing 662 kW (900 hp) each, at 2,300 r/min, driving via a water-jet propulsion system.
Scania Commended for Climate Change Disclosure
Engine manufacturer Scania is featured in CDP’s “Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index for a second time. This index, a key component of CDP’s annual Nordic 260 Report, highlights the constituent companies within the Nordic stock exchanges which have displayed the most professional approach to corporate governance in respect of climate change disclosure practices. Companies are scored on their climate change disclosure and high scores indicate good internal data management and understanding of climate change related issues affecting the company. The index, compiled by FirstCarbon Solutions on behalf of CDP provides an evaluation tool for institutional investors.
