Abu Dhabi Ship Building Launches Trainee Program

Abu Dhabi Ship Building PJSC (ADSB) has launched a training and development program which is designed to prepare young Emiratis for careers in the shipbuilding and repair industry. There are currently 40 trainees enrolled in the first class of the technician development program which provides young Emirati talent with the skills to become professional mechanical and electrical technicians. It includes both technical English and technical development skills. Trainees will receive 1,120 hours of theoretical and practical training over nine months through higher colleges of technology.

Fincantieri Educating UAE Students

The value of the initiative also recognized by the UAE government Trieste, 12 August 2015 - As part of a program of international cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, Fincantieri has done in recent weeks in Genoa, at the headquarters of CETENA - Center for the Study of Marine engineering, Group subsidiary Fincantieri, the training courses for students Higher Colleges of Technology and the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research, Abu Dhabi both universities and the most prestigious of the whole area. The aim of the activity was to raise awareness of Italian excellence in the marine sector in its various aspects (military, cruise, megayacht) and increase our relationship with leading UAE universities that are opening up in recent years, the field naval.

Abu Dhabi Ports’ Training Centre Reports Successful 2014

Abu Dhabi Ports’ Maritime Training Centre looked back on what it called a successful year, noting a number “success stories” throughout 2014 as the number of trainees at the center increased by 15% in 2014 compared to 2013.
