DMA Makes Pleasure Boat Rental Easier

Now, it becomes easier for private persons to hire out or share their pleasure boats. The Danish Maritime Authority (DMA) has revised its regulations on pleasure boats so that they are now simpler if you want to hire out or share your pleasure boat with others. This is the case for both private persons and hire services. Director Per Sønderstrup from the Danish Maritime Authority said: ”In the future, the same regulations apply to equipment and arrangement irrespective of whether the pleasure boat has been hired or is owned. The new regulations apply to pleasure boating and introduce special safety requirements for pleasure boats with a length above 24 metres. Consequently, previous regulations are simplified without compromising safety.

Dales Marine Launch New Lay-up and Dock Hire Services

Dales Marine, a privately owned ship repair companies in Scotland, has enhanced its portfolio by introducing two new services to support the growing needs of the shipping and offshore industry. In addition to its capabilities for working in ship repair and maintenance, mechanical engineering, steelwork fabrication and vessel mobilisation, the company will now offer lay-up and dock hire services from its key locations across Scotland. Dales Marine will run the lay-up service providing a package of cost-effective services including inspections, risk assessments, dehumidification of corrosion prevention, engine start and run and draining of cooling systems to accommodate ships in hot and cold lay-ups.
