LISCR Hires Former USCG LNG Expert
The Liberian Registry announced Dallas Smith has been hired as the Director of LNG and Offshore Technology, and as General Manager of the Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registryâs (LISCR) new Houston Office.Smith brings to his new role at LISCR over 20 years of experience as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. Before his retirement last month, Smith was head of the USCG Liquefied Gas National Center of Expertise where he was responsible for executing the Coast Guardâs entire liquefied gas safety, security, and environmental compliance mission around the world.

Aker Solutions Wins Services Contract with Petrobras
Petrobras has awarded Aker Solutions a contract to provide maintenance and modifications services for nine platforms at oil and gas fields in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil.The Campos Basin extends approximately 100,000 square kilometers. The three-year contract is valued at more than BRL 250 million and includes an option for a two-year extension.Aker Solutions will be renovating, repairing and upgrading offshore production units for Petrobras' Campos Basin Operational Unit (UO-BC). ICHCA, IAPH Joins for World Ports Sustainability Program

SAL Heavy Lift Inks Deal for Horns Rev 3 Shipments
SAL Heavy Lift said it signed a contract with GeoSea NV for the shipment of a total of 49 transition pieces for the Horns Rev 3 Offshore Wind Farm.The assignment compiles transportation of TPs from fabrication yards in Aalborg, Denmark and Vlissingen, Netherlands to the project port of Esbjerg in Denmark. GAC Greece has become the latest GAC company to sign up to the Green Award (GA) Foundationâs scheme, underlining its commitment to environmental issues. Statoil Awards Hull Cleaning Contract to GAC
GAC EnvironHull has signed a contract with the international energy company Statoil to provide underwater hull cleaning services for its vessels operating in Scandinavia, the Middle East and the Far East. From the second quarter of 2015, GAC EnvironHull, part of global shipping, logistics and marine services provider GAC Group, is using its HullWiper technology to remove fouling from the Statoil fleet of long term chartered vessels to enhance efficiency and reduce fuel consumption, while also preserving and protecting the maritime environment.

The Isle of Man Ship Registry has appointed Captain Raja Ray as business development manager in Singapore. The senior appointment is aimed at strengthening the flagâs position in the growing shipping markets of Asia Pacific. Captain Raja is a senior maritime professional who spent almost 20 years working for American Eagle Tankers (AET) as master and then ashore in Singapore and London in Health, Safety, Security and the Environment (HSSE) positions and also as their Designated Person Ashore (DPA). His most recent posting was Head of AETâs Atlantic fleet in Houston. The Isle of Man registry has contracted him to promote the flag to the industry in Singapore and Asia.
