Ocean Installer Wins First Contract in China

Ocean Installer has been awarded a contract for 3rd Party Verification and Engineering Support work for the Liuhua 29-1 Gas Field Development located in the South China Sea.The work scope encompasses 3rd party verification of detailed design and subsea construction engineering, as well as various other support functions to the client’s engineering team.This is the company’s first job in China, and Ocean Installer will conduct the work as a subcontractor to COOEC Subsea Technology Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the deepwater SURF (Structures, Umbilicals, Risers, Flowlines) EPCI scope towards end-client Husky Oil China Ltd. Statoil: Securing More Rig Capacity

Statoil has signed a contract with North Atlantic Norway to hire the West Hercules rig which can be used for exploration and production drilling internationally and on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). Statoil has signed an agreement with North Atlantic Norway Ltd (Norwegian Branch), a company in the Seadrill group, for hire of the West Hercules rig for use on exploration prospects and production licences. The semi-submersible rig will be deployed to start drilling from Q3 2012.

New E&C Offshore Contracts Worth Over $1 billion

San Donato Milanese (Milan), 3 May 2011 – Saipem has been awarded new E&C Offshore contracts worth in excess of $1 billion in China and Brazil. The offshore activities for both the contracts will be performed mainly by the newly-built and highly-specialized Saipem FDS 2 vessel, in different periods between 2012 and 2013. In China, Husky Oil China Ltd awarded Saipem the contract for the Liwan 3-1 Field – Deepwater EPCI. Seadrill Secures Contract for West Hercules

Seadrill has been awarded a contract by Husky Oil China Ltd. on the Chinese continental slope for the deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig West Hercules. The contract has a firm duration of three years with estimated contract value of approximately $580m, including mobilization fee. West Hercules is currently under construction at Daewoo Shipyard in South Korea and is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter 2008.
