APM Terminals India Becomes Authorized Economic Operator

APM Terminals India Pvt. Ltd became one of India’s first Inland Service providers to receive the internationally recognized security standard, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) from the World Customs Organization. CaroTrans Enhances India-US Network

CaroTrans, a global non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) and ocean freight consolidator, announced a new, direct less-than container load (LCL) import service from Nhava Sheva, India to Charleston, South Carolina for expedited delivery to the U.S. South Atlantic and Gulf regions. This weekly, all-water service has a 25 day transit and offers a convenient Friday cut-off date, important service features for time-sensitive garment and fabric imports. The service began mid-August. At origin, CaroTrans’ dedicated partner, Globelink WW India, provides dependable, secure consolidations and offers full India market penetration with 15+ inland container depots.

DP World Opens London Gateway Logistics Centre

DP World's first distribution centre at the London Gateway Logistics Park opened officially, with the UK's shipping minister, Robert Goodwill MP, in attendance. Goodwill and DP World chairman, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, formalised the opening of the centre during a ribbon cutting ceremony. The first phase of this high tech unit, which comprises 16,800m² (180,000 sq ft) of distribution and logistics space and 2,400m² (25,000 sq ft) of office space, has been finished to BREEAM “very good” standard. Based on market demand, DP World is now planning to increase the size of the centre to 36,000m². “DP World London Gateway is an excellent example of the benefits inward investment brings to UK infrastructure and the economy.

CaroTrans Launches US-Japan LCL Export Service

Global non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) and ocean freight consolidator CaroTrans announced a new weekly less than container load (LCL) service from Atlanta to major markets in Japan including: Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Nagoya and Osaka. This service eliminates transshipment and double handling in Los Angeles and Busan. Freight moves from Atlanta to Tokyo in 29 days, Yokohama in 30 days, and Osaka, Nagoya and Kobe in 33 days. In Japan, CaroTrans’ partner of 16 years, Seino Logix, provides secure unpack and expedited distribution throughout Japan. Overall, the CaroTrans - Seino Logix service portfolio is comprised of six export services – Chicago, Charleston, New York/New Jersey, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle to Japan, and now Atlanta.

CaroTrans Adds New Asia-US Service

CaroTrans, a global NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, announced a new all-water LCL (less than container-load) import service from Shanghai to Atlanta via the Port of Savannah. Troy Container Line Promotes Key Personnel

Troy Container Line Ltd, announced May 14, 2012 the appointment of three key personnel to management positions. Svetlana Azimova has been named Assistant Vice President of Troy Container Line’s Freight Cashier Department; Jonathan Lasker has been appointed Assistant Vice President of the company’s Import Department; and Michael C.
