IMTRA Mourns the Loss of Nat Bishop

IMTRA Corporation and its employees are saddened by the passing of former CEO and long-time member of the IMTRA family, Nat Bishop, after a 15-year battle with melanoma.Bishop joined IMTRA, the leading manufacturer, supplier and importer of quality marine products, in May 1974 and worked there until his retirement at the end of 2013. He spearheaded the company’s expansion effort by opening its southeast operation in Clearwater, Florida, which proved to be pivotal for the company’s growth and profitability.

Lilaas Engages Imtra for North American Distribution

Prospects in the North American marine equipment market have triggered a new and distribution agreement between control specialist Lilaas AS and marine and offshore sales and support organization Imtra Corporation, of New Bedford, Mass. The deal, initially over three years, will see Imtra’s 52-man organization offering product and after sales technical support for Lilaas control levers, joysticks and rudder controls in the U.S. and Canada. Imtra’s clients include vessel operators in the commercial marine, inland waterway, fishing and offshore sectors, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.

Imtra’s clients include vessel operators in the commercial marine, inland waterway, fishing and offshore sectors, as well as the US Coast Guard and US Navy, while the company also supplies products to the oil rig sector.

Imtra Goes 'Green' with Solar Power Project

Imtra, a  manufacturer of advanced LED Solutions, has announced  the completion of its ‘green’ initiative to reduce energy consumption at its corporate headquarters. Imtra’s energy saving efforts include the installation of high-yield solar panels on all suitable roofing surfaces resulting in the reduction of outside power consumption by 70%, as well as installing higher energy-efficient bulbs throughout the facility resulting in a lighting fixture power reduction of 9%. Imtra Corporation has spent years developing energy saving products for its customers. Under its Imtra Marine Lighting brand, it manufactures a series of energy-efficient, low-power LED lighting products.
