Incat Crowther Launches 45m Cat for AZAM

Incat Crowther has announced the launch of Kilimanjaro VII, a 45m catamaran passenger ferry for AzamMarine of Tanzania, Africa. This vessel is the tenth vessel designed by Incat Crowther for the operator, and theseventh vessel built for the operator by Richardson Devine Marine.The 500-passenger, 35 knot vessel features the operator’s trademark parallel boarding system, whereby fiveramps per side load passenger and cargo in segregated flows. First-of-type Walk-to-Work Crewboat Launched

Incat Crowther announced the launch and sea trials of Muslim Magomayev, a first-of-type 70m Catamaran Fast Crew Boat (FCB). Constructed by Incat Tasmania, Muslim Magomayev is compliant with IMO HSC code and complete with a crew transfer system consisting of dynamic positioning equipment class (DP2) coupled with a walk-to-work stabilized access platform. The vessel’s operation includes fast crew transfer for 150 offshore workers to multiple offshore installations. The hull design is optimized for high speed transits with a maximized operability envelope and low incidences of sea sickness.

Amaroo Cruises Takes Catamaran Delivery

Incat Crowther today announced the launch of Amaroo, a 24-meter Catamaran Whale Watching vessel for Amaroo Cruises of Forster, New South Wales, who recently celebrated 35 years in operation. Built by Aluminium Marine in Queensland, Amaroo is the third Incat Crowther-designed vessel for the operator. The companies’ relationship began in 1981 with the design of Amaroo II, and continued with the 1998-built Amaroo 2000. Amaroo Cruise’s daily dolphin and whale watching cruise route presents technical challenges, Incat Crowther said.

Newbuild Catamaran Passenger Vessel for Sale

Incat Crowther announced that a 25m Catamaran Passenger Vessel is under construction at Aluminium Marine in Brisbane and available for purchase. The vessel is based on the Spirit of Queenstown, also built by Aluminium Marine, launched in 2013. The vessel is compliant with Australian NSCV code for vessels under 24m and under 25 knots. According to Incat Crowther, like all Aluminium Marine vessels, including Fantasea Sunrise, Freedom Sovereign and Cobia, she is being built to a very high standard and is customizable to the operator’s requirements.

First of 10 Utility Vessels Delivered

Incat Crowther announced the first deliveries of a 10-boat order for 42m Infield Utility Vessels to Brunei’s PTAS Marine. Developed in conjunction with builder Strategic Marine, the project called upon Incat Crowther’s track record in steel crew boats to meet strict performance criteria. Incat Crowther announced that it is designing a fourth vessel for UltraMar of Cancun, Mexico. The 48m catamaran passenger ferry, to be built at Midship Marine in Louisiana, U.S., will operate on UltraMar’s busy Playa de Carmen – Cozumel run. Incat Crowther announced the opening of an office in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, created to meet the growing demand for Incat Crowther’s products and services in South America while placing Incat Crowther at the center of the South American Offshore Oilfield industry. The Incat Crowther Group said it has experienced significant international growth as a result of a track record of diverse vessel designs and unique consulting services. The office in Brazil is a reflection of this growth and will initially target specialized high speed aluminum ships for the local offshore support market.

Richardson Devine Launch Super Dream

Incat Crowther announced the launch of Super Dream, a 32m Catamaran Passenger Ferry for Ishigaki Dream Tours. Recently launched by Richardson Devine Marine, Super Dream is the second Incat Crowther/RDM vessel for the operator following on from Premium Dream, launched in 2008. Incat Crowther said the Super Dream demonstrates its commitment to constant evolution by being a modern interpretation of the previous vessel. Improvements on Premium Dream include the addition of Incat Crowther’s latest hull form and a sleek, single passenger deck superstructure, resulting in a more efficient vessel.

First of Three Incat Crewboats Delivered in Brazil

Incat Crowther announced the launch and delivery of BS Maresias. Built by Arpoador Engenharia Ltda, BS Maresias is the first of three 45m Monohull Crewboats meeting the specifications of the Petrobras P3-type crewboat for service in the Brazilian offshore oil fields. The vessel’s design features a large aft main cargo deck optimized for cargo and crew transfers. The 78m2 cargo space has a cargo capacity of 150t. The main cabin features seating for 60 passengers, two toilets, a beverage counter and large luggage racks.

HamiltonJet HT900s for New High Speed Crewboat

Incat Crowther announced a first of type 70m Catamaran Fast Crew Boat (FCB), compliant with IMO HSC code and complete with a crew transfer system consisting of dynamic positioning equipment class (DP2) coupled with a stabilized access platform. Bay State Cruise Receives 30-meter Passenger Ferry

Incat Crowther announced the launch and delivery of the 30-meter catamaran passenger ferry, Provincetown IV to Bay State Cruise Company of Boston, Massachusetts. Gladding Hearn Shipbuilding of Massachusetts delivered the earlier vessel Provincetown III in 2004, and she has been operating for nearly a decade. When the operator planned an expansion in services, they asked that Provincetown IV bedeveloped based on the original design with an updated propulsion package for improved performance and efficiency.

Incat Crowther Designs Dive Support Vessel Trio

Incat Crowther has been contracted to design a trio of 42.5m Monohull Dive Support Vessels. The design is an innovative new concept borne of the latest ideas from designer, builder and operator. The design has been developed from stem to stern to be a dedicated DP-2 capable Dive Support Vessel, featuring fully integrated ROV launch and recovery, dive compressors and decompression chamber. The vessels, currently under construction at SeaSafe Barcos Manufaturados, in Angra do Reis, Brazil, will be delivered to Sistac.

Incat to Build 12 UT4000 Fast Supply Vessels

The Brazilian petroleum industry continues to set new standard for fleet expansion. This is demonstrated by the building of 12 aluminum 7,200-hp fast supply vessels to a single order. They are being built at Estilaleiro ETP Engenharia Ltda. in Rio de Janeiro for two owners. Designed by Incat Crowther with their Lafayette, Louisiana office, the construction of these vessels is now well along with the first delivery expected for late 2013 with others to follow through 2014 and 2015. The 12 boats under construction in Brazil will be 48 by 9.5 meters with a molded depth of 4.25 meters.

Monohull Crewboat Swissco Cheetah Delivered

Incat Crowther launched Swissco Cheetah, the first of a pair of 36-meter crewboats built by Cheoy Lee Shipyards of Hong Kong. Capable of carrying 50 tons of deck cargo, the 70-passenger vessel was delivered by Cheoy Lee’s Zhuhai shipyard to Singapore-based operator, Swissco Offshore. Representing the first of this type of vessel built by Cheoy Lee, the Swissco Cheetah is the latest in a long line of collaborative efforts between builder and designer, including a large number of successful aluminum and composite passenger vessels.

Catamaran Ferry Delivered to Coastal Fast Ferries

Incat Crowther launched Kilimanjaro IV, a 45-meter passenger ferry for the African Operator Coastal Fast Ferries. The vessel capitalizes on the rapid growth in the operator’s passenger numbers, bringing the Coastal Fast Ferries’ fleet to seven Incat Crowther-designed vessels. A process of close cooperation between the builder, Richardson Devine Marine, operator and designer resulted in a vessel offering high speed, high passenger capacity and rugged efficiency. Kilimanjaro IV’s main deck has two partitioned passenger spaces – an 86-seat business class cabin, and a 168-seat economy class cabin.

Incat Crowther Wins Design Contract for 25m WFSV

Incat Crowther has been awarded a contract to design a 25m Catamaran Wind Farm Service Vessel. Construction of the vessel has commenced at MMS Ship Repair in Hull, in the UK. Designed to meet an industry demand for increased cargo capacity and flexibility, the vessel will feature a large forward cargo deck that caters for a single 20-foot container, or a pair of 10 foot containers. 20 foot containers can be mounted longitudinally or transversely, allowing additional cargo to be carried as required. A deck crane is mounted at the forward end of the cargo deck.

Incat Crowther Designs Ferries for Russian Builder

Incat Crowther is pleased to announce that contracts have been signed with Russian builder Pacifico Marine for two catamaran ferry projects. Incat Crowther and Pacifico Marine have formed a relationship that sees the design company assist Pacifico Marine to service the Russian market with proven designs. The relationship has already found success with the contracts for these two vessels, and both companies are hard at work to secure further orders.
