Todd Shipyards to Overhaul Aircraft Carriers

Todd Pacific Shipyards Corporation has been awarded a contract by the United States Navy to provide long-term overhaul and maintenance to the Nimitz Class aircraft carriers (CVN) homeported or assigned for maintenance in . The contract consists of multiple contract options for planned incremental availabilities (PIA’s) and docking planned incremental availabilities (dPIA’s) for the USS LINCOLN (CVN 72), USS STENNIS (CVN 74), USS NIMITZ (CVN 68), and the USS REAGAN (CVN 76). The availabilities extend through the last PIA and dPIA ending in 2013. The work to be performed includes non-nuclear ship repair, alteration and maintenance. Todd Shipyards to Overhaul CVN-72

Todd Shipyards Corporation said that the U.S. Navy has awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, Todd Pacific Shipyards Corporation, a $10,949,272 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-00-C-4152. This modification represents the exercise of an option for the Docking Planned Incremental Availability ("DPIA") for USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN- 72), at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard commencing on September 5, 2006 and is expected to be completed March 15, 2007.
